Pros and Cons
Publié le 6 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was comfortable and the essentials were present, however the entire house and bunk house need a good dusting. The pantry was so full of cleaning supplies and bug spray we could not use it. Which was disappointing as we were there for several days. The outside is awesome , lots of room to play. Be sure your pets listen well , as there is no fence.

Thank you for staying with us we appreciate it. There is no pantry in house that’s a closet for water pump and cleaning supplies. There are plenty of empty cabinets to use as pantry if you choose to do so. There is a large dog run on side of house that’s fully fenced. The property is 10 acres and we are not allowed to fence it due to the wildlife corridor that runs through the property, you will see wild elk and deer in the early morning or around sunset. Remember, this is a cabin in the middle of the woods with only one other house 10 acres away and yet just 3 miles away is downtown Flagstaff. There will be Pineneedles, pinecones And of course, some dust anytime you open and close the door. this property is not a resort but it is an amazing private piece of property. Just so all customers know you don’t rate vrbo cabins like a 5 star hotel. Giving us 4 stars is a failing grade to vrbo and us.

A Perfect Flagstaff Escape – Tranquil Cabin Getaway
Publié le 10 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay at this cozy cabin in Flagstaff was nothing short of incredible! Nestled among the towering pines, the cabin offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the fresh mountain air and peaceful surroundings set the tone for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin itself was immaculately clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We spent our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, watching wildlife pass by, and our evenings stargazing—Flagstaff’s dark skies are unbeatable for this!
Location-wise, it’s ideal. Just a short drive from the heart of Flagstaff, we had easy access to restaurants, shops, and attractions like the Lowell Observatory and Walnut Canyon. Yet, the cabin was far enough from the hustle and bustle to feel secluded and peaceful. We also took advantage of nearby hiking trails, and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon were convenient from this base.
Sitting under the stars after a long day of exploring was the ultimate relaxation!
Overall, this cabin offered the perfect escape for those looking to disconnect and unwind. Whether you're seeking adventure or tranquility, this spot has it all. We can’t wait to return!

Seclusion in Flagstaff
Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is quite possibly the best vacation rental we’ve had the privilege of staying at. Caring for 3 small dogs of varying disability makes taking a traditional vacation quite difficult these days. Thus, on the 30th anniversary of our initial voyage to attend NAU, my husband and I drove across the country with the dogs for a 2.5 week stay at this property. It exceeded our expectations in every way - the property is beautiful and private yet only minutes from Flagstaff. With just two of us, we only used the main house; however, the bunkhouse looked really cool for larger groups. My husband loved the second standalone full bathroom which no doubt is the one of Al Bundy’s dreams. After hiking in the mornings, it was so peaceful to nap on the free standing hammock on the side of the property or hang out on the huge deck watching the ravens play in the trees. We used the large propane grill and well equipped kitchen on the days we didn’t venture into town to eat. We even had the neighbor’s senior dog (I think a golden retriever) stop by for a quick visit one day to check us out - it was quite adorable. While the water pressure isn’t what we are used to at home, knowing that they have to haul water to the property, we had no complaints. If you are looking for peace and privacy in a fantastic location, this is your place. We hope to be able to return again as this was a truly amazing experience.
