Walking distance to all the sightseeing places in Florence. Friendly staff, especially Lucia at the front reception office, makes the stay memorable! Lucia gave us a quick overview of Florence including the museums, the parks, the restaurants and the Christmas market. This is beyond my past experience at any hotels including Ritz and Conrad which are known for the high quality of services. Thank you!

Wonderful hotel! Beautifully decorated but what made the difference was the staff. From check in, to porter, to breakfast attendants, everyone went out of their way to welcome you and offer thoughtful suggestions. Don’t think twice, stay at this hotel.

We booked an 'iconic room' and it was perfection. Very large, beautiful ceiling, ultra clean, wonderful bed and bathroom. The check in process was easy and comfortable, and the staff are top notch. The location of the hotel was also great, lots of great dining near by and a good base camp for walking the central streets of Florence.

Room was quite nice, but very noisy… drain pipes and banging, not outside sounds; probably an issue specific to the room. Considerable water damage between the shower and sink, room lighting seems designed for one occupant.

Hotel interior is very run down. Carpets haven’t been updated in at least 20 years. Do not book a room with balcony, photos are very deceiving. Just a view of junky rooftops. Not sure why this hotel was highly rated. Spa area in basement is like a dungeon.

I really love the place. Having said so i do think that the most important issue is the client and therefore a couple of changes might be nice for me as a consumer of five star hotels: The gym must be open always. I was doing lots of things in Florence and had to accommodate to their 7am rule. the Internet must be a professional one. It was really weak and very frustrating to use.
