What’s nearby:
The charming historic Old Town section of the city is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants. A quick drive to many local attractions such as the Oregon Dunes and beaches, The famous Sea Lion caves, The historic Heceta Lighthouse, nearby Woahink and Siltcoos Lakes for fishing, boating, kayaking or swimming. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean. Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to experience the unique natural wonders of this area. Paddle the slow moving 3 mile designated canoe trail between Siltcoos Lake and the Pacific Ocean.Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are offered daily. Get your adrenalin flowing on a nearby dune buggy tour or with an ATV rental, or go crabbing from the Siuslaw Bay public fishing pier at the end of South Jetty road where crabbing is excellent from late spring until the fresh water from winter rains force the crabs out to the ocean.

Please help!
I have notified the owners that I left a couple of items in their rental. A charging cable and an Echo Dot Alexa which was left behind a curtain inside in the living room area. The owners don’t seem like they are very responsive in getting these items back to me! Leaving it up to the cleaning lady to take care of. I will gladly pay postage to have these things mailed to me! Please let me know you have received this and will help Me hat back th things I forgot! Thanks very much! Dave Pitzemrm

Cute little cottage that's just right!
Cute, clean, comfortable, close to Old Town. Everything we needed for a short week in Florence. Very comfy bed, just enough dishes and pans for the limited cooking we did. The snacks and bottle were a very nice surprise and much appreciated!

Little piece of paradise!
I absolutely loved this cute little cottage. I was travelling alone and with my dogs and the neighborhood felt safe and great location. A short walk to a beautiful wee park that I watched the sunset at. Had fun day trips to surrounding areas to hike and enjoy the beaches and dunes. The house itself is fantastic. Checking in was easy and seamless. It was stocked with everything I needed to make meals. Bed in the bedroom was comfortable, I didn’t sleep in the loft bed. I really absolutely adored this place!!! The hosts go above and beyond!! Can’t recommend this place enough, thank you so much for a fabulous stay!

Was a wonderful home, yard, hot tub, had everything we needed. Loved the funky decor, The beds were so comfortable. Close walk to old town and close drive to HWY for groceries. Really enjoyed.

The house was so cute! It had such a nice welcome basket of treats when we arrived. The neighborhood was right near Old Town Florence, which was very quaint. Landscaping and gardens were lovely. Our 20 y/o son enjoyed the area upstairs. We hiked all around and took a side trip to Bend. It was a wonderful trip and we would book this cottage again. The claw foot tub was great. Warm, comfortable and cozy place to stay! Oregon is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your cottage and travel ideas with us!

Perfect little home
This place is amazing in every way - so clean and has the most beautiful yard and back area - the hot tub is clean and so very relaxing. This worked so perfect for us and we would definitely stay again !! Cozy and comfortable- the bed downstairs is soft and I had the best nights sleep . Thank you for such a little treasure

This is a very cute little house. It has just about everything to make for a comfortable stay. However, as another reviewer mentioned , the upstairs loft is VERY small. The ceiling is very low and stairs tight. The bed was very comfortable once you get settled in. Definitely not for someone that needs to get up in the night! It is very accommodating for two people. The hot tub was easy to use and plenty hot. The kitchen was well appointed with a variety of utensils. We would return if we had the occasion to visit Florence again.

Good Location…
It’s always hard to determine if it would be cheaper to stay in a hotel, but I enjoy the lack of people right next to you. It is a very quiet neighborhood. This location was great…I’m not sure who could have crawled up to the second bedroom, but it is a loft. The hot tub was not hot enough and there were no instructions for increasing it. We walked to town, found what we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed exploding whale park which is very close. And thank you for letting us check in a bit early!

Great place, if it fits your needs
I enjoyed my stay here, but would only come back in the right circumstances. For able bodied people who need no privacy from each other, this is a great place. For anyone else, this would not work. There is no legal bedroom on the property. The upstairs room has a maximum ceiling height of 3 feet. I am 5 1/2 feet tall and had to bend completely in half to shuffle to the bed. There is no escape in case of fire- the only window up there is by the stairs and sealed off and cannot be opened. I had to lay on the floor to put my pants on. It is not possible to walk down the stairs while bending so far forward to not hit the excessively low ceiling so I had to start going down on my butt like a baby. The downstairs bed is in the open, no privacy. I thought the curtain in the photo must close, but no. The first thing you see walking in the door is anyone in bed. Watching TV= watching anyone in bed. Coming down the stairs= watching anyone in that bed. IRL the curtain chain is broken and it hangs funny. Hot tub was nice but jets are not strong at all. Bring your own measuring spoons/ cups. Would be nice if light swtiches are labled as every light has a switch and you have to walk all around to find the right one. Place was clean, no bugs, nice set of stainless steel pots/ pans. Nice towels. No toothbrush or paste, but there was bar soap/ shampoo/ conditioner. All sinks drained slow. Auto emails were the only communication. Place was HOT first night, no fans anywhere

Great vacation stay in Florence!
The small cottage ambience of chalet Rose` was delightful for our vacation stay in Florence. Great place to "come home to" after a day's adventure golfing, hiking, fishing and exploring beaches. Easy access to all these activities. And perhaps the best part, was then walking through the neighborhood to Bay Street for cocktails and dinner and even wine tasting and a little shopping.

Happily surprised!
My friend and I booked this cute little cottage for her birthday and it was SO worth it! Very clean, nice kitchen especially for such a small place. 2 beds. There were not any reviews when we booked so we were a little apprehensive going into it, but we were happily surprised and will definitely be coming back! Very cute decor throughout the house, you can tell they’ve listened to past renters about what would be cute/trendy/make the vibe better. Hot tub in the back and a little fire pit. It was close enough to town (10 min walk) and there’s lots of things to do/places to eat(we LOVED Nosh and HomeGrown), and the owners were kind enough to leave us a little binder full of info about the home/area and activities to nearby. 5/5 stars!

Cute little place and very quiet neighborhood. A little height issue in loft area. But all good. My son enjoyed the hot tub. And it was great all the bay front right there. One thing you should post is yard not fenced. And the rails on back porch need to be sanded and stained. I'm afraid someone could get a severe sliver if they didn't lift their hand enough or something. It would hurt alot. The tree out on back porch is just wonderful and smelled nice too. We're lucky our little dogs listen well and were to busy checking out everything. It was my sons "25" birthday so we celebrated by going on this trip together. But all in all it was a good mother, son outing well needed and deserved. So thank you!

Awesome location and property
My husband, 1 year old and I stayed at the property and enjoyed every minute. The baby's highlight was likely the lids for the pots and pans but we loved how easy it was to get downtown. The hot tub was perfect and we had all the amenities we needed. My only item I would have packed in hindsight is a fan to get some more air flow in the upstairs area and keep the temp down there. Otherwise, definitely would stay here again - two thumbs up!
