Great property, but will NEVER use Vacasa again

The location and property were great -- just what we hoped they would be. But we will NEVER AGAIN rent from anyone using Vacasa to manage the rental, thus 1 star for comunication. Every reasonable request we made was met with an unreasonable & pre-emptive "NO." 1) We made it to the property unexpectedly early by 30 minutes, asked if we could go in, and were turned down flat even though it would have been easy to let us in by remotely adjusting the unlocking time on the wireless keypad. There was no cleaning crew anywhere in sight as we waited for half an hour for the door to allow us to enter. 2) There was a coffee pot, but no filters in the rental kitchen. (If we used the same kind of coffee filters at home, we would have bought filters at the grocery and not worried about it.) Since we don't use that kind at home, we requested coffee filters to fit the machine in the rental. Turned down flat, of course. 3) The keypad lock on the front door stopped working our first night and locked us out. We contact Vacasa, waited on hold, and finally got someone who said she'd try to help us. She asked us to try multiple alternatives; none worked. I asked could they please send someone since we were about to go out to eat and would like to be able to enter the unit and go to bed afterwards. When we returned two hours later, the situation was unchanged. We called again, got a different person, who finally gave us a new code. Someone at Vacasa is making $ doing NOTHING helpful for renters!!

So cute

Very cute property. Very Clean and well maintained, we have stayed at many properties on FB and the Turtle Bay properties are our favorite. Most places look like they haven’t been updated since the 90’s and despite costing thousands for a week, most feel kind of run down. This property was great! My only complaint is that the pillows are awful. We forgot ours and luckily took some from my parents around the corner. If you can-bring some from home. Otherwise highly recommend!

Turtley Awesome

We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Bay. It’s a very nice condo with plenty of space. It is conveniently located and we highly recommend. We had lots of room to work and relax. All meetings should be like this!!!

Good location but needs updates and work

This property has a pretty good location on Folly beach but it’s not well maintained. Toilet seat was broken, shower door was off the track and dirty, holes in the walls, shower curtain was stained on main floor. Property was surface cleaned but looked to not have had a deep clean in a long time. Our linens were dirty and the property wasn’t real clean when we arrived so they sent cleaners out again the next day but the property really needs a good deep clean and many maintenance issues fixed. When we pulled up to the property we thought we were at the wrong address because there was a box of overflowing trash out front with a horrible odor coming from it. It had an old dishwasher, rug and no telling what else in it.

Great place, great location

My family and I stayed here for vacation, and the location was perfect! Great views of the bay, and not a far walk from the beach and downtown. The inside was nice, only some dishes that were dirty and the trash left a mess in the garage, but the host was great about responding and helping out.

Family trip

This was a quick trip w kids and grandparents. It was wonderful. The location was great because close to all but in a quiet spot. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

The Perfect Spot

We have vacationed in Folly for about the last 10 years, and this was by far my favorite rental. It was clean, nice, plenty of bathrooms (with teens that’s key 😂), great location, and easy parking. We had two porches which we used a lot, and did plenty of waking everywhere because we were so centrally located. There’s access to a pool, and crabbing docks. It was, in a word, perfect!! And check in was super easy, as was the check out process. 5 stars!!

Nice place but lack of communication

Communication with the property manager was non existent. I reached out multiple times and still have heard nothing. Place was nice and accurate to description. Washing machine and dryer need replaced.

Sabbatical Stay

We decided to come to Folly, SC for some rest and relaxation and we got exactly that! The home was nice, clean, and spacious. The only thing negative was the linen was completely clean, we just washed them before going to bed. The last night neighbors occupied the home next door and you could hear the entire conversations. The walls are paper thin.

Clean and convenient but a couple of surprises!

The property was pretty much as described, clean and convenient location, but there were some surprising issues when we entered the house. Whole in the kitchen ceiling, broken garage door, and shower door off track. Vacasa was quick to respond and rectify the issues. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay!
