So good, we booked it again!!

We had an amazing time!! We spend every year the same week at Folly, and this was by far the best house we have stayed at. From the bedrooms, to the family room, to porches and beach access. We couldn’t ask for a better family stay! We loved it so much we booked the house for next year before we even left!!! Can’t wait to be back next year!

Great house in Folly Beach...

This house was wonderful with all that you might need for your stay. Very spacious as we had our three teenage daughters and my mother in law with us. Beautiful view and easy walk to beach as house sits directly on it. Would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful Location

The house was in a perfect spot. You should have some one managing the maintenance request for Saturday check ins. Waiting until Monday is to long for showers handles to be replaces and TV cords missing. Once you got the notice everything was fine but you lose 2 days waiting. I also know it is the end of the season but the house needs some maintenance. Plugs in the bathroom not working, tears in the screens, dirty around the edges, carpets need replaces, towels had stains, garage disposal barely functions, etc... The house is in a great spot and kitchen was well equipped. I actually would stay there again if in the area. You added silverware and cups upon request which was a great help. The office people are extremely nice and very helpful when in the office. Thank you for having us.

Amazing house and location

Beautiful house directly on the beach. Amazing surfing right outside the house. Sat on the deck in the mornings and evenings watching the waves and surfers. The host was amazing and gave us a partial refund because the town was rebuilding the beach in front of the house for part of our stay (part of a Folly-wide project the summer of 2024), which I am sure is done by now. Would absolutely rent this house again.

Ideal beach getaway

Saylor's Malibu provided a perfect venue for a group of lifelong friends to gather for our annual reunion. We toured the historic Charleston area, enjoyed long walks on the beach, and just hung out together at the house. You truly cannot beat the view!

The properties’ views are unreal. Huge windows! Very clean . The only downside was when it was high tide there wasn’t any beach to be on.

House has a lot of deferred maintenance

I get it .. house is ocean front and gets beat up by the weather and by renters. But this house had an excessive amount of deferred maintenance. One bed was broken. The refrigerator door had all shelves removed and hence had no door storage. There were five (not one, five) lightbulbs that were out that needed replacement. The trash can holder in the cabinetry was broken -- when you pulled it out to throw away the trash, the entire wooden fixture fell onto the kitchen floor. We had rain and there were major leaks in the main living room (we head to put a trash can underneath it) and the first floor bedroom. In the kitchen, there were no kitchen linens, no potholders and no metal spatula for grilling. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. House was clean, location was great, but with all the deferred maintenance and just poor attention to fundamentals (lightbulbs, kitchen utensils), we give it a three.

Thank you for taking the time to review Saylors Malibu. Since your departure, we have addressed numerous issues noted in your review. Lightbulbs, kitchen inventory, and refrigerator shelves have all been replenished and these & similar items are restocked on a regular basis. Additionally, the broken items mentioned have been repaired.

Amazing view

We lovers our stay, the view out the windows was spectacular and having a bath room for each bed room was really nice. I would rent this place again, in fact I checked with the company to see if they would sell it. .

Beautiful spot, nice house

What comfortable beds! We're concerned that the house won't be here much longer, though, as high tide literally washes around the car port. Our only real regret is that we only stayed six nights!
