A very attractive hotel with good facilities and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Bar and catering service both very good and the evening meal and breakfast were both good. Would certainly use again.

The 5 amigos
Over all a good time, the hotel could do with a refresh.The rooms are a little tired but comfortable.The restaurant is clean, service is friendly and attentive, the menu good The breakfast was extensive, well cooked and presented.I would recommend it for a short break.

My stay was ok but the hotel needs a bit of an upgrade there was a door knob missing of the wardrobe the sink plug was missing also the wallpaper was coming of the walls in places But sleep wise was good the bed was very comfortable even to the bath or shower was great too

The property is beautiful and the room is comfy. Beautiful gardens and my window opened to a lovely lawn with a swing from a tree and great fresh air. Room was well decorated and seemed clean except there was a slight smell of mildew when I first came in. Allergies acted up a bit. The breakfast options were awesome - had traditional English breakfast one day and poached eggs with salmon another day. Great coffee and tea and biscuits in the room fresh daily. Within walking distance is a wonderful garden center with gift shop and behind it is a jewel of a tea shop called Hybrid where they make amazing food and drinks, and there’s a balcony overlooking gorgeous green pastures and there are robin’s hopping around and cheerful staff. Regarding the Roebuck hotel staff, most were very kind and helpful but there was one lady who was very difficult. I tried to make a call out of my room and couldn’t. Called front desk and was told the phone to my room is not working, and she asked me who I was trying to call. I said just a taxi because my cell is not working with the WiFi here. (That’s another thing the WiFi is spotty). Then the lady said that they’re going to charge me for an international call. She seemed to be very negative. I said I’m just trying to call a taxi. So I had to go to the front desk and got another nicer employee who kindly ordered me a cab. But the rest of the staff were great. Overall good stay.

Overall good stay
Good stay. Very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was a good size, very clean and comfortable although a little tired. Room was also quiet. Ate at the establishment one evening of our stay. Side salad was excellent. The main meal was satisfactory and reasonably priced. Overall good value compared to anywhere else in the area. Would definitely recommend & stay there again

Easy and quick check in. Decor a bit tired looking, traditional. Overall very clean and quiet. Convenient for The Ravenscourt Wedding nearby. Goed en authentiek hotel
Genoeg parkeerplekken, goed gegeten en fantastisch ontbijt. Gezellig ingericht en authentiek hotel. Alhoewel het aan een drukke weg ligt, is hier weinig van te horen (kamers liggen aan achterkant). Koffie/thee faciliteiten op de kamer. Personeel mag zich iets meer inleven in de gast (hoe kom ik over), twrwijl ze vriendelijk zijn.

We stayed one night as visiting attractions in the area and it’s the only reasonably priced option. As per other reviews the pub part is in need of updating, the accommodation extension is in dire need of renovation. Severe damp in the ladies toilet and dodgy electrics (very loud humming from lights over sink, scary).only ate breakfast which was very good for £12.50. Dined at The Cat Inn which I highly recommend.
