Great for a large group
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a wonderful house for a group. Lots of bedrooms apple baths very clean. We had a great nite. Nice fenced deck and well stocked as far as dishes, pots pans etc. I woukd stay there afain.

Spacious cabin, fairly updated
Publié le 23 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were quite shocked at first to see how new the cabin looked inside. From past reviews, we were expecting it to be a little older. It’s more updated than what we originally thought. It was perfect for our party of four and baby which was supposed to be six initially. The location is right off the highway and down the street from the store.
Water pressure does seem to be an issue with the tub so to successfully have a jacuzzi bath I would suspect you have to run the water for an hour or two. I gave up after 30 min after only accumulating an inch of water.
As with most cabins, there is a mouse issue so you must keep your food off the floor or in the fridge. My cousin forgot and left some sealed snacks in his bag and we lost a bag of Doritos and package of twizzlers :)

Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had no running water or flushing toilets upon checking in. It took over 4 hours for the issue to be resolved. There were no working outside lights and many inside didn’t work as well. The listing stated the property was on a river, it was not. There was a lot of debris on the dining floor from a previous occupant. Loose bricks were buried under tall grass around the fire pit outside. One of our guests tripped and injured themselves. Will not stay at this property again and hope for some type of refund.

Cabin
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was not clean, the light fixtures had burned out bulbs, no bath upstairs. Second bath was in the laundry room & no sink. We had to buy drano & auger to unstop sink. No WiFi, tv or phone service to contact owner. Wiring was a fire hazard. Trash outside was filled to top.

Cabin needs some improvements + cleaning

It's constructed with nice exposed beams and privately located between La Push and Forks, so it is central to beach and rain forest hikes as well as restaurants in Forks. I know it is described as rustic, but it was overall in really bad repair, and in serious need of upgrades (especially dishwasher and bathrooms). The "second" bathroom is really a laundry room with a small rickety shower and no sink. It would be nice to be able to open the windows in the summer, but there are no screens. It also needed to be cleaned better, laundry was still in the washer and dryer, socks on the floor, and the towels were old and worn and some smelled kind of weird. The plastic in the mattress pads made sleeping uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it unless the issues were addressed.

Lots of great sleeping areas but…
The home was so dirty, not just run down but foul. Layers of dust, trash behind beds, large carpet stains, trash in sofas, cigarette butts on the porch, stains on the mattress cover, dirt on the mattress.
It’s too bad, the place has potential.
