fishing trip
Posted Nov. 2, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall the stay was pleasant and uneventful until our last night. There was a big rain - wind storm that resulted in our power going out at 6pm. We were without power, heat and water which resulted in us going to bed at 7pm. The owner did text me early in the morning around 5am and apologized for the inconvenience. She did state that the neighbor should have turned on the generator for the water pump, but they did not. we had no toilet facilities all night. She also stated that these power outages happen quite frequently. Our question is... if this happens frequently why is there not a Generac that starts up automatically during these outages. Without heat and toilet facilities it was a very uncomfortable night. We were a bit surprised that we were not compensated for the last day we were there since check in is at 4pm . We left the cabin at 6am on Saturday morning

I am sorry for the inconvenience and discomfort caused by the storm and subsequent power outage. It was very widespread and many thousands of people were affected. Power outages don't happen very often. They do, however, frequently last several hours. This one was about 9 hrs, Apparently there was a misunderstanding in my text about the frequency. I can't remember a time we were without
water during a power outage and I don't expect it to happen again. I'm very sorry it happened while you were here. Not many people around here have a standby generator. but they will probably become more numerous over time. We hope to have one in the future. Perhaps Vrbo should add it to the list of searchable amenities.

Fantastic little cottage
Posted Sep. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayThree adults visited in early September to explore the Olympic National Forest. Great central location for the local sights. The cabin was perfect for our small group. Very comfortable beds, cozy living room, quiet location. Very easy check in and great communication with the host JoAnne.

Nice cabin with everything you need
Posted Aug. 21, 2024 on HomeAwayIt was small and quaint but it was clean, quiet and had everything you need. We explored the park during the day and came back to the cabin to refresh at night. We enjoyed sitting by the river and relaxing after dinner. The bed was comfortable and the windows opened (with screens) to get a good cool cross breeze at night. The bathroom was pretty small, but we managed.
It was a great stay that I would recommend!

Lovely cabin in Forks
Posted Aug. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a lovely stay in Joann's cabin. It had everything we needed, a well-stocked kitchen with everything to cook full meals and a nice little outside table to enjoy the weather by the river. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean and neat. Our host was very responsive and helpful. A+
