Our happy place
Publié le 8 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is warm and cozy. The surroundings are calm and tranquil. This is the perfect place to wind down and relax. We’ve been coming here for years, it never disappoints. Thank you Mona and
Bryon for sharing this wonderful place!

Ahhhhh!
Publié le 21 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwaySo amazing to look out over a pond with many lily pads and surrounded by wildflowers. Birds enjoying the feeders and chippies enjoying the dropped seeds added to the charm. The fire pit allowed for some hot dog roasting and, afterwards, gazing at the stars. Then a peaceful night in a very comfy bed.

Charming and Serene
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe Campbell Cottage is as described. Beautifully maintained inside and out. It is a peaceful oasis. Location is awesome and lends itself to quick trips to Mt. Davis, Ohiopyle, Falling Water and Lady Luck at Nemacolin. Tons of hiking

Hidden Gem
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage was as advertised and more! The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and clean. We spent most of our days outside enjoying and fishing the pond. We were surprised at how large some of the fish were! The evenings were cool enough to enjoy the fire pit and the provided wood was a great perk. If you like wildlife, there are plenty of birds and saw a deer in the morning. Our only advice is to try and bring what you need as there are not many shopping choices. We look forward to coming back!

We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and fishing in the pond. There are 3 places in Confluence - 6 miles away where you can purchase food - 1) Confluence FoodMart, Park Square Market and Dollar General --- Best to shop early in the day or look on line for times each of these is open. Also, gas at Mitch's in Confluence but they close at 7 p.m.

Quiet nature paradise
Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a quiet, private, hidden gem. A nature lovers paradise in south western PA. If you are a birder you are in for a real treat with the dozens of species that visit daily. Hosts are wonderful people and are there if you need them but hands off if you don’t. Can’t wait until our next visit!

Perfect Little Hideaway
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property feels very exclusive and was so quiet. The property owners gave us really clear directions on the way down and we were left to ourselves the whole stay. The perfect distance to Ohiopyle without being in the busy parts of it. Thanks for the stay!

Cozy Tranquility
Publié le 4 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMona and Bryon have a delightlful property and they allow their guests to set the tone. Check-in was as simple as unpakcking our car, but Mona and Bryon were always available if we had questions. The cabin was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed to settle in for a few days of quiet and beauty. The birds and critters are as much a part of the experience as the scenic location. I enjoyed taking hundreds of pictures of "the locals" and my wife and I explored the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail in nearby Confluence. So much to do and see nearby and a cozy place to come home to. Great experience!

Full Moon over the Pond in Fort Hill
Publié le 3 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayIf you enjoy sitting quietly watching all the activity going on in and around the pond next to your very private cabin; if you want the best place anywhere to watch the full moon interact with the clouds and reflect off the pond; if you want a great location in the Laurel Highlands, with trails and rivers and mountains nearby; and if you appreciate great hosts who are readily available anytime you need them, but give you your space if you don't, this is the place for you.

Always amazing!
Publié le 21 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe are never let down when we stay at the cottage. Mona and Bryon’s attention to detail goes above and beyond. Beautiful setting. Great fishing. Comfortable cottage. So peaceful. We’ve been staying at the cottage every year since we were married there in 2014. We are never disappointed!
