Get away weekend

No complaints about property itself, it was good for that price. The issue that we had was quickly resolved by management. Kids were not happy with the beach quality, but there are better options available with an hour driving.

Fabulous Florida

The screened in porch was so nice to take our morning coffee to. Plenty of room in the kitchen for two cooks. My daughter in law is waiting on a heart and I wanted to take her on this trip to Florida This house was clean and spacious Met our neighbor across the street and he was so nice

Disappointed I paid that amount!

The slider door wouldn’t lock. I reached out and was told how to lock a door. Last day they they sent property manager. Still wouldn’t lock. Screen door closure broke off. Bathroom cabinet door hinge fell off. The patio furniture was out dated and unstable. I am very aware of hurricane Ian and the damage it caused. But after two years they should either lower price or take off market until it’s ready.

Thank you for your response Amy. Please know we sent instructions on how to lock the door and sent maintenance to test it with evidence that the door lock does not have an issue. We have had a locksmith out there since then with no reports of locking issues, as well as many guests who have not had this issue. Additionally, the slider door has never been broken previously until it happened during your stay, and we have resolved this issue. The bathroom cabinet was simply tightening a screw and our maintenance has resolved this issue as we did not hear from you until the night before check-out. The patio furniture is the same furniture listed in the pictures. We will check the stability of each piece of furniture. We would have been happy to help resolve these issues if we were notified during the stay. We have had many guests with positive feedback at this unit and this comes as a surprise to us. This island is in a hurricane rebuilding mode and we recommend you seek other locations in the future to satisfy your needs. Thank you.

Multiple Problems

The property was rented for 20 days. When we arrived had no hot water, door would not lock, air conditioner was not working properly, contractors working in the lower units, nails and screws in the driveway, washer unplugged and water lines shut off because contractors were using the outlet. Went three days without a hot shower and spent one entire day at the property uneasy about leaving the place and our possessions unattended. Had promises of repairmen coming to resolve each problem, but either took days to correct the problem or no resolution at all. Property management company offered a prorated refund or move to another property. Stayed in the original house with promise of air conditioner being repaired in 2 days. Never was fixed. The refund offer was then changed to a small percentage of the total rental in exchange for a 4 star rating. No thank you. We are honest and integrity is more important than a small reimbursement.

While we appreciate your concerns and feedback, your comments are extremely misleading. First, you booked a property that shows clearly in description there is construction and it is all over the island, amenities are not guaranteed and the price is reflective of that. We don't control the contractors schedule, or if they temporarily shut off water to laundry machines. You contacted us 6 times to state concerns and we sent maintenance each time to resolve the issue, change the door locks, get laundry running, etc., attending to your needs. No mention of that. Additionally, we sent AC contractors four (4) times to resolve the issues, to which they got it running each time, only to have if shut down again, and finally diagnosed as need a new coil and full line replacement. No mention of that. We picked up after the contractor including nails and screws. We were very attentive to each concern. We offered you a discount or a move to another property to which you rejected our offers. Why would you reject a move offer if the property is so bad you give it one star?! Then you went dark, in a hope to extort us for a huge discount and free vacation. Is it any wonder we provided our final discount after this extortion attempt and again you rejected it. Seems like you were just wanting a free stay. You know people on the island and you know the horrific damage that occurred, yet you booked a property at gigantic discount, with disclaimers clearly listed in the description, and then demand a huge refund at the end of your stay. We don't want abusive guest who use reviews to extort money. Take it elsewhere next time. We have reported this abuse to marketing platforms and have blocked you from renting from us again.
