My 2nd stay in this unit
Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI stayed here 3 yrs ago, absolutely loved it then. Was disappointed when I thought it was no longer used as a rental. I was very happily surprised during check in to realize it was the same unit I had rented previously. The unit is very clean, updated, in a wonderful gaurded community. Has pools, and the complex is licated directly on the ocean. I highly recommend this listing! Thank you again to the family, who i understand has owned this unit for many yrs, and now has been taken over, and now managed by the next generation.

Great Clean Place to stay!

The water was too rough to let my 3 year old play in the water but she didn’t let it stop her from having fun playing in the sand! Condo offered a storage unit with lots of beach essentials that were nice so you don’t have to pack everything like we did! Even had plenty of beach towels. Pool was nice and a short walk from our condo. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Nice quiet area
Publié le 5 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThis area is nice and quiet, I know the beaches changes every year depending on storms the one at the unit was not swimming friendly ( big waves) but sand was nice, but there where nice beaches in the area( pepper beach),restaurants were great not to busy which was nice, owner was very helpful and quick response to any questions also was one of the quietest unit we stay never heard the neighbor not sure if they were away or not…disappointed in the main pool as it was closed but I heard they are building a new one and opening 2024-2025.

Rough Start to a Great Stay

We were attracted to this property by all the five star ratings and the reviews of how clean it was. When we got to the condo, we were disappointed to find it was not clean. After spending a lot of time cleaning, we contacted the owner to let him know about the state of the condo and included pictures. Justin, the owner, reimbursed us for all the cleaning supplies we bought and the Cleaning Fee we were charged when we booked the property. He also arranged for a handyman to show up the next day to address the things we could not clean or fix. Justin was also very proactive in making sure any household supplies (light bulbs, furnace filters, shower curtain, etc.) were replaced quickly.
The property itself was in a great location. It is close to the beaches, shops, restaurants and bars. Ocean Village has a large beach, three pools, an executive golf course, and an onsite restaurant/bar. The property offers many activities for residents and renters. We met people from all over the country and just about everyone was very friendly.

OCEAN VILLAGE BEACH CONDO
Publié le 21 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayJustin was very easy to work with. I contacted him the second day I was there with a couple questions and he responded immediately. You have your choice of several pools and the main pool should be finished being upgraded by next season.I only spent the evenings in the condo as I enjoyed the weather and pools while I was there. I did not spend time at the beach, which is walking distance because I didn't have a beach umbrella. Justin has chairs, but not an umbrella you can use. I did walk to go see the ocean and beach. He has Internet streaming capabilites in the bedroom, but not in the livingroom. The television in the livingroom has Direct TV, but not movie stations like Cinemax, HBO, etc. I would have enjoyed the streaming capabilites in the livingroom as that is where I prefer to watch TV. This is just my opinion. I really enjoyed my stay at Justin's condo!

Not so 5 Star!

I had contacted the owner regarding the main pool, where the tiki bar is, because our friends stay in this gated community and advised us that it was closed since last October. No response from the owner. I then asked if there were pickleball courts, and again no response. There are two but closed due to complaints from a home owner. When we arrived at the condo, the entire sliding glass window was boarded up due to construction on the upper floor. We felt like we were living in a dark basement. The condo looked clean, but there was mold around the bathtub. Ugh!!! I contacted the owner, who did respond immediately, and he said he had just found out about the construction and had no idea about the mold. The owner did immediately reimburse us about half of our $, but I honestly was still very disappointed. We ended up leaving two days early. I did hesitate to write this review, but I felt that other consumers need to know before booking this condo. The property is on the ocean & the landscaping is well manicured with a small but nice golf course. There are two other pools on the property and the restaurant was also a plus. The people we met there were very nice and there were pickleball courts a 5 min drive away! Lots of places to eat too! We would definitely go back to the condo complex, but be much more carefull before booking.

Thank you for review, yes we were both caught off guard by the owners above our unit. The lanai and screened in porch was getting replaced and unfortunately that came as a surprise to us too. When we heard about it we immediately refunded half of the rental to try and help. We've owned for 15 years and this is a one of a kinda experience of that happening. Thank you for the heads up about the need to recaulk the shower, that was done immediately the day that you guys left too. Indeed, the resorts has 4 pools in addition to the mile of beach access, golf course and 8 tennis courts. One of the pools is under construction and being upgraded. I'm sorry you guys had the surprise. It caught us off guard too and we tried to do everything we could to help. But the porch is finished, in great shape as is the bathroom.
