Worst renting experience I’ve ever encountered.

I stayed at Pirates Bay in FT. Walton beach for one week. (Jun 24-July 1st)The first day we get there I realize the fridge is not working at all and the sheets/ pillow cases/ bedding smelled like it had not been cleaned. So I decided I could clean the sheets myself so I did. The fridge being broke was out of my control though so I called the maintenance number and the lady said she would write a maintenance ticket and they would fix it. 3 days go by nobody showed up to look or fix the fridge. I call vacasa this time and the lady says they will send someone out. Two more days go by I call Vrbo and have a rep speak with a lady from Vacasa and she says they will get someone out there and she will call me back about reimbursement. Finally on the afternoon before we leave there is a different fridge plugged in in-front of the old one. (I am not happy or pleased). A day goes by and I’m finally back home and I call Vacasa to ask about the status of the reimbursement and I am told they will give me $25 a day for everyday the fridge was out.( I lost several hundred dollars worth of food between the groceries and leftovers I had to throw out everyday) So I was not pleased and asked for an explanation for that number and I was told AGAIN I would get a call back. Guess what? I never got a call back so I called today and was told the ticket is closed and I will not be reimbursed! Wow this whole experience has been awful, get a hotel or anywhere other than a Vacasa managed property.

Loved the space

The bed was soft, plenty of storage under the bed for anything, kitchen sink too small, burners were difficult to use but we managed. I appreciated the little extra things. We were close to the beach & not far from Destin Commons

Fort Walton visit

Check in process was excellent. Unit was as described. Enjoyed the stay and our time there. The only issue we really had was with whom ever was staying in the unit above us. It sounded like they were constantly moving furniture around.

This property was beyond my STANDARDS. We were very comfortable. When we choose to take a Road Trip, I take my own linens and towels. I didn't need to unpack any of it!! If you are interested in selling this property, I would be interested in buying! ⁰
