Great Place
Publié le 17 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is a great place to stay, secluded and very private. Couple of suggestions to make it even better. Turn on the hot tub a day before arrival, it took 24 hours to get it up to operating temperature. More wash clothes would be ideal, 2 for 2 people for 2 days is just not enough.

Scenic and Secluded

Hot tub didn’t work but that wasn’t that big of a deal to us. It was nice and deer were everywhere. Not a bad drive into town to do shopping and restaurants.

No hot tub. Awful bed.

Once we checked in, I noticed the hot tub water was cold and not in good condition, so I called and texted the contact person, Ashley. She told me the hot tub was not working and I “should’ve been notified sooner.” She said she would be sure I got a refund. I have never received a refund, even after checking back with Ashley.
As multiple reviews stated, the bed is uncomfortable because it does not have enough support under the mattress and the whole bed moves when you do - it was awful.
There were nicer aspects of the cabin but these two issues prevented good rest and relaxation.

Beautiful secluded property
Publié le 4 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I had a really nice, quiet 3-night stay here at the end of September. The cabin looks pretty new so it was very clean and decorated very nicely. It had pretty much everything we could need. I found the bed very comfy! We put corn out for the deer and had a few each day come by. We really loved the porches on front and back. The rocking chairs were great to sit and enjoy the peacefulness and watch the spotted burros grazing next door. The drive to town was less than 15 minutes so we had plenty of time to come back to the cabin in the heat of the day. The barn doors from the bathroom to the bedroom were a bit quirky because they didn't close good or stay open completely but they had lots of character. There were plenty of towels and hot water. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Need to Unplug
Publié le 6 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayGreat place if you want to unplug. Pretty scenery, saw deer every day, very secluded. Things to know: 1) cabin is 15 miles south of Fredericksburg. (2). TV gets very few channels (3) Wi-Fi is slow.

Secluded and Peaceful - a nice break from the city
Publié le 17 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe cabin appears to be rand new and is absolutely adorable. The bed was comfortable, but may need an additional board under the mattress to address sinking. The amenities were just as described and perfect for our long weekend getaway. My only complaint was the Vacasa login and password for the wi-fi were incorrect (simple capitalization issue) but caused a bit of headache trying to figure out what was wrong. In the end, the local property caretaker came to the cabin and cleared up the issue for us - she was very helpful and sweet. I would definitely visit again.
