Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. Honey Hill cabin was the best cabin we have ever stayed in in Fredricksburg and we have stayed in about 25 cabins over the last 30 yrs. Can’t wait to go back next November. Thanks for everything.

In all everything was Good. Only issue was that the bathroom toilet doesn’t flush on the first time, had to flush 2 to 4 times to get it to go down.. and the back door was unlocked when I arrived. Other than those two issues, the place was Great and we enjoyed it!

Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was as pretty as the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. There were a few surprises such as the toilet had to be flushed repeatedly, the jets in the jacuzzi tub shown in the pictures was not operational , the outside hot tub was small with just a few jets, the temperature on the hot tub can not be adjusted, it appeared to be somewhat dirty and the water was cloudy. I was hoping for more of a well stocked kitchen. If you’re going to be cooking for your spouse, I recommend bringing your own pots/pans/cooking utensils. Overall we still enjoyed our stay and had a good time in town. I just would have liked to know about these issue in advance so I would have know what to expect.

Romantic Getaway

We travel at least once a month for 3 day road trips and stay in cabins 99% of the time. We were really looking forward to staying in this beautiful cabin/house. Here's the Pros & Cons: Pros: * Location - We prefer being 10 minutes away from town to avoid the noise, traffic, light pollution, etc. * Cabin itself was comfortable and beautifully decorated. * Hot tub under the stars was definitely a bonus Cons: * Tiny shower * Toilet had to be flushed at least 3 times for anything to go down. It seems trivial, but a good flushing toilet becomes #1 on your list of amenities when you need to go #2. Scorpions - My family is from the Hill Country, I am no stranger to insects and critters of the area. To be clear, there were NONE INSIDE THE CABIN, however as we were sitting in the hot tub, they were literally everywhere and it was so unnerving that it ended our star gazing a little early. * Price - After fees, fees and more fees this cabin cost us $5XX and you only get to enjoy it from 4pm to 11am. The value just wasn't there for me. The Takeaway: It really is a nice place and if the toilet was fixed and the scorpions were sprayed this would make the perfect romantic getaway spot. Advice: Bring snacks and bottled waters.

This is a very nice property. Very clean, well appointed. Good location. We enjoyed our stay. It would be a really great place to stay in cold weather. You can enjoy the fireplaces. We had a little plumbing issue, but it was taken care of quickly. I would stay here again.

Eager to get back home

The place seemed really nice when we got there, but the longer we stayed the more problems we noticed. The tub had hairs in it from other people. There was no trash bin other than the small one in the kitchen. There was an oven but no oven mitts. The humidity was always above 80% according to the thermostat. The temperature in the house would rise suddenly in the middle of the night and we'd wake up sticky from sweat. My spouses allergies acted up because of something in the house and went through alot of tissue. Also for some reason the dvd player wouldnt work on regular dvds and this was part of our plans for our evenings. We even left earlier than we planned bcause we just wanted to leave. Really wanted to like this place.

Cozy little cabin

Over all we enjoyed our stay. Knowing that the property is in the country, we did see a few dead bugs inside the cabin. Cabin was clean, including the bedding and towels. Kitchen wear was limited. Would of like a coffee pot instead of keurig.

A Delightful Stay

Enjoyed the house. A quiet getaway was perfect. There were some things that need change. The toilet doesn’t have enough water pressure to flush. The kitchen needs more kitchen ware. All in all the house was spectacular.

Anniversary

My wife and I loved the location of the cabin. We had searched for cabins specifically with a hot tub for a much needed getaway. Our first night there, the power went out (not ya'll fault) so our plans for that evening did not go well. Also, we could not use the hot tub during our stay because the temperature buttons wouldn't adjust. It was what we had been looking forward to. The microwave did not work. We started it but it immediately sparked so we had to unplug it. There were dead bugs on the floor. The kitchen counters were not clean and had crumbs on it. Our first night there, we couldn't use the restroom sink bc it was clogged and water did not go down. We had to use tub or kitchen faucet to wash up (inconvenient). Also, the toilet was difficult to flush. We called everyday to inform ya'll since it was the right thing to do. We did enjoy our stay but for the price we paid, we were a bit disappointed. We are not ones to speak negative about our experiences but we wanted to address these issues for ya'll to be aware. Thanks again. Be blessed.

My fiancee and I loved this little house. It was fat enough away from town to enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to walk around Fredericksburg and see all the shops. Loved everything about the house! The decor was cute, the setup was perfect and who doesn't love a hot tub? Have already recommended this stay to friends who plan on visiting the area.

Anniversary getaway

Wow, we so enjoyed our time at this place, it really is perfect for couples! The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable, and the rolling TV was a cute touch! The hot tub had a great ambiance around it with the lights and the privacy and we used it every night we were there! A couple of negatives I would say it had was the door locks could use some upgrading, the large window above the carport letting a lot of light in during the morning, and being able to hear every car that passes on the highway nearby when you sit on the front porch. Overall, the property really was good and met the secluded feel we were looking for during our getaway. Looking forward to our next trip to Fredericksburg!!

Loved it !! The only thing was the jacuzzi bathtub the jets didn’t work . Did not call and complain about it didn’t want to be interrupted . but I do wish they were working . it would’ve been perfect exactly what we wanted.

Good stay

Easy check in. Easy check out. Property was clean for the most part. (Wine glass being the only thing we found wrong) Quiet property. The highway is maybe 60 yards away. Though you can’t see it you can hear every vehicle that passes. Neighbors in other cabins are your only concern and luckily the ones we had were quiet. We did find a wine glass that had lipstick on it still. Thankfully we always wash our dishes before we use them anyways. The bed is a good mix of soft and hard. Only problem is there is a sun window near the roof directly across from the bed. So even though I wanted to sleep in while on vacation I was woken up at sun rise every morning cause there is nothing blocking that window and you have the sun directly shining on you. The bath tub is really nice. The jets have been disabled keep that in mind. We used it every night we stayed though. The tv is on a roller so we rolled the tv out and hung out in the bath and watched tv. The shower is small. The shower head is kind of annoying cause every stream is so spread out that you don’t really have water pressure so you have to stand there for awhile to rinse off. Really need to change it to one that changes. Security wise I hated the back door. The only lock on the back door was one of those small latches. If I wanted to I could easily kick in the back door and break that lock. Thankfully nobody did that to us haha but it was a concern of mine. Other than that I had no other complaints. Some people might call it nitpicking but those were my only concerns.
