Great stay at Pfiester House

So quiet and peaceful. Everything one could ask for in a small little cabin with super easy access to down town.

Fall Getaway
Publié le 13 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayPerfect little cabin for our stay. Secluded and peaceful but so close to shops and restaurants. Hosts were so helpful and informative. The homemade banana bread was a treat, after a day exploring the town. First time visiting Fredericksburg but are planning to visit again soon.

We enjoy the decor, the well thought out space, the outdoor fire pit, and can’t forget the yummy banana bread. The hosts are always available when needed, and the communication is great.

Hidden Gem I Almost Don't Want to Share! But will ...

I could say "Ditto" to all of the rave reviews, but it would not do this property or its owners justice. The hosts, Darla and Mike, were beyond incredible - their kindness and accommodation made our stay truly memorable. The attention to detail at the "modern farmhouse" VRBO property was exceptional. From the freshly baked banana bread that awaited us upon arrival, the Peacock Alley sheets (catch-up sleep is vastly important to me and this property delivered in spades), to the thoughtful recommendations for things to do in Fredericksburg during our quick weekend getaway, every aspect of our stay was carefully curated to create a truly memorable experience. It was a special moment for my teenage son and me to reconnect before he starts his high school journey. The property and experience were absolutely priceless, and we are already eagerly planning our return trip – and looking forward to seeing our new Fredericksburg friends again soon! Our stay could not have been better! There are three farmhouses for rent and they are all beautiful. We stayed in the middle house (Pfiester House) and had such a wonderful time. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The property is was so close to Fredricksburg which made it so convenient but is secluded on property which gives you the feeling of being out in the country. It was so quiet which provided us with such a relaxing weekend.
Darla was there to answer any questions we had and provided us with where we needed to go and what we needed to see.
If you are planning a trip to Fredericksburg I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed.

A Wonderful Stay
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMy best friend and I spent a couple of nights in Fredericksburg before picking our sons up at camp nearby. We wanted some place near to town, but on a property that had land and animals. This little farmstead was the perfect spot! Darla was very responsive to my questions, and offered to stop by to say hello once we arrived. I knew we would be arriving late, and she was understanding of that. but offered to make herself available if we needed anything at all. She left a wonderful collection of tea and coffee for us, along with cuties, yogurt, milk, orange juice, and banana nut bread for us to enjoy. It is about an 8 minute drive to town, and we were initially worried that ride shares would be difficult to get, but that was not the case at all. We enjoyed wine by the fire pit one evening and reflected on what a perfect little getaway we had.

Beautiful cottage

There are 3 cottages next to one another- ours was located in the middle. The other two cottages were vacant during our stay so we zero issues! Great for family/friends to have a place in close proximity to one another!

Perfect in every way!

So clean, with every little detail thought of…even a loaf of banana bread waiting for us when we arrived. Will recommend to everyone headed to the Texas Hill Country and will definitely be back!
