Perfect Anniversary Getaway
This beautiful guesthouse is exactly what we wanted. We like our accommodations to be as much of the vacation as the adventures, dining, and sightseeing. It's the perfect size with a full living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bath. No skimping on details or extras. The back porch, facing a meadow, is the real star of the show as hummingbirds, butterflies, and deer keep you company. That's not just a photo on the VRBO website--it really happens. Lynn & Jerry are great hosts, and if we're back this way, their guest house is our first choice! I highly recommend.

Weekday Vacation
Retired and frequently take trips and stay in VRBOs or ABNB or similar. Our original goal was to drive the Twisted Sisters in our convertible sports car, but it canceled for rain so we hung out instead. We were extremely delighted to find this is not just a place to sleep but is a well planed, carried out, and maintained retreat from the world. There are two porches facing flower gardens planted for butterflies and hummingbirds, which entertain constantly while you sit and look out over the property, which is like an undiscovered park. The interior is decorated exquisitely with surprises to pique your imagination and is very comfortable and CLEAN. The ADA shower is amazing. The kitchen has every item you could possibly want even if you wanted to do any type of baking and there is a new clean outside gas BBQ. There is also a washer-drier, which we did not use. Downtown Fredericksburg has all kinds of interesting shops, wine tasting, and museums and there is a large HEB if you are not into eating out three times a day while you are here. We are definitely coming back.

Perfect Place. Perfect Stay. Again!
Not our first stay at The Cottage and it again did not disappoint. Lynn and Jerry make everything comfortable and perfect. The world just melts away when sitting on the back porch sipping coffee in the mornings or wine in the evenings, watching the wildlife in the field behind. Great spot just a short drive from the bustle of downtown Fredericksburg. So relaxing and can't wait for out next trip!

Delightful in every way
I can not stay enough good things about the "Cottage". It was incredibly clean, the chairs were comfortable, the bed was comfortable, and the decore was charming. Every morning and evening my husband and I sat on the back porch and watched the wildlife. I loved the layout of the cottage. The fireplace, the kitchen, the bathroom (which could be accessed from either the living room or the bedroom.) It was ADA compliant. No thresholds between room or the shower. It had the feeling of being in the country, but was moments from downtown Fredericksburg.

This is a great cottage for a getaway in Fredericksburg. The house is super clean and the hosts were great. It is in a great location that is close to all the stuff in town, but also immersed in nature.

Perfect and Peaceful
We live in Central Texas and are no strangers to Fredericksburg. We wanted to get away for a few days and bring our pet with us. We couldn’t have asked for more-quiet, peaceful, welcoming, exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything from paper goods to spices-even treats for our pet! The back porch was phenomenal! We hope to return in the winter months to experience the wood fireplace!

Weekend of Sheer Bliss!
My husband and I work long hours and then work around the house, yard, and garden on the weekend. Sometimes we just need to get away, this cute cottage was the perfect place to forget about our jobs and responsibilities that everyday life brings! The cottage was well stocked with amenities, we didn’t have to go to the grocery store for anything! Snacks were provided! Enjoyed feeding the deer, with the corn the owners provided for us. Great weekend!

Wonderful Fredericksburg visit
We visit Fredericksburg at the beginning of their peach season. We looked at VRBO properties that allowed dogs for visits, and we selected The Cottage on Spotted Fawn. Lynn responded promptly after we made the reservation. She provided rental information and directions. She met us when we arrived and gave us a lot of information. Lynn was very cordial and a great host. The cottage was simply darling. It was located close to the down town area but it felt like real country. The backyard of the cottage bordered a 1500 acre ranch and the back patio overlooked the ranch property. It was wonderful sitting out on the back patio every evening as well as in the morning, as we drank fresh coffee.The cottage was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable and very quiet. Several deer ran across the ranch property and we always watched hummingbirds as well as other types of birds. The kitchen was very well equipped with all kinds of utensils and dishes. We prepared most of our meals inhouse during our stay. Lynn provided extensive literature regarding local restaurants, stores and things to do.She even provided a summary on the various peach orchards in the area. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and highly recommend it for others to enjoy.

Above and beyond expectations
This property was an oasis. The cottage was clean with plenty of towels and blankets. Loved the back patio. We saw deer, hummingbirds, cows and an array of birds. It was a nice neighborhood that was quiet and close to downtown. I highly recommend this property.
