The food at breakfast could have been better but did not change our overall opinion of the experience, which was excellent.

the location is ideal - step outside and your in the middle of Old Fredericksburg.

The Richard Johnston Inn is a historic inn with loads of charm. We stayed in the Virginian room, furnished with antiques and modern amenities, alike. The Inn is supposed to be haunted but we felt no ghostly presence! Rather, the warm welcome from the super friendly and efficient staff, plus the delicious, freshly cooked breakfast, made us feel completely at home. Highly recommended for a short getaway or as a base for exploring the surrounding area.

Liz provided wonderful host services and we felt very taken care of. Check in was a breeze and parking was convenient. This is an excellent location in downtown Fredericksburg and you can walk to everything. We will definitely stay again!
