Pour : Très bel hôtel à tout point de vue
Emplacement : Centre ville
Très bel hôtel dans une petite ville très agréable. Chambre très spacieuse et confortable. Petit déjeuner offert le matin. De nombreux restaurants autour de l'hôtel. Une adresse vraiment à retenir. Proche parc attraction Six Flags

Best hotel in Freehold, NJ

Very nice stay at the American Hotel. It is unfortunate that weekend availability is limited given that there are only 20 rooms in this hotel. I will definitely return if there is availability on the days of my traveling to Freehold. This hotel is a hidden jewel.

This is an historic building that has been modernized. That means there is a central staircase that allows sound to travel to the upper floors, and little sound-proofing between rooms. However, the room was quite comfortable - we had a king bed and a couch. The bathroom shower had three showerheads! One on the ceiling and one each on opposite walls - nice when showering alone or together ;) There is free parking in the back, and we were able to walk to a restaurant on the block for dinner, and then to a different one for brunch. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to stay in the area.

The room was dirty. The shower had black mold on the shower head

Denise - Thank you for emailing me your feedback on your sons recent stay with us. I did receive your email and responded the next day. It is very concerning, and I take all guest feedback very seriously. We have a very high standard for cleanliness here at the American Hotel. I personally inspect the rooms before check-in and after check-out. I have never had a guest complain about any mold in the shower or in the hotel rooms, as we have a very strict cleaning process for the entire hotel room. I did inspect the room before and after and did not detect any mold in the shower. I apologize for any inconvenience that your son experienced while he was our guest. If it was brought to our attention while he was here, we would have addressed his concerns and moved him to a different room. We strive to provide a clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay for all guests. I will continue with our strict cleaning process and make sure my entire housekeeping department follows thru. Again, I do apologize and thank you for bringing this to my attention.
