Publié le 8 août 2024 sur HomeAwayeverything was good landscaping could have been cleaned up and mowed and there was a very noticeable smell in bathroom and parts of the house that smelled like sewer or drainage problems. But other than that it was very comfortable with a nice kitchen with all kind of cookware the bed were comfortable and the shuffle board table was really enjoyable would highly recommend this place

First impression of property were questionable and had difficulty with initial door opening but house was very clean, comfortable, had everything listed, and great location for our use. Would stay again.

Cabin get away
Publié le 20 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayAppreciated full kitchen with LOTS of dishes/ pots & pans, A/C, Wi-Fi & TV. Didn’t like musty smell overall, periodic sewer gas smell.

We were unaware of the smell, but we did further investigation and found that a seal had gone bad. The seal was replaced, and along with other plumbing upgrades we feel that it has been solved. We will continue to improve on the cabin, but maintenance issues do arrive from time to time.

a little disappointed
Publié le 31 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe description said 2 bathrooms and it was only 1 mile to the marina. Not true. Expensive boat rentals/bait..etc... No boats available until I had to beg to have one for our trip...Should have booked a house boat, however, we still had a good time. Not worth the price. Wish I found something better for cheaper.

Not sure what to say on this one. The cabin is definitely 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom just as the listing says. Also, google maps lists it as 0.9 miles to the marina so I rounded it to a mile. I can’t control the marina’s boat rentals and bait prices, but I find them very reasonable.

Hunting cabin

We are very sorry for the odor that was present during your stay. We have determined the issue to have been a faulty sink trap, and have added air admittance valves to both the kitchen and bathroom sink. We hope that this will remove the odor, but we also put in a germguardian air purifier to try to attack it from multiple angles.
We will continue to improve the cabin, but we also want to be able to keep rental rates reasonable. Our goal is for guests to have a clean safe place to enjoy their time while enjoying the lake, or hunting the local area.

Birthday Weekend
Publié le 30 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe want to first start off by saying we really did have an enjoyable weekend because we were together as a family and that is what really mattered! However, if you could address the following for future customers:
1. The water pressure was horrible, couldn’t showers because of the very poor water pressure it would’ve taken forever just to get shampoo out of hair.
2. Loved the shuffleboard but uneven so if you played on the one side you always won.
3. It made us all very uneasy to see the garage closed up the way that it was and the black tarp over the windows it gave it a very uneasy feeling for us while in the home along with the code/lock in bathroom. Maybe just explain why it is locked for the bathroom at least our assumption was this is maybe where you held supplies and it still was an easy feeling for all of us.

Thank you for bringing up your concerns. The bathroom closet with the number lock does in-fact have the cleaning supplies in it as you assumed. The garage side is not available for guest use, and still needs remodeling done to it. While the shuffleboard table isn’t perfectly level, generally players play from the same side so it should be even odds.
Finally, and most importantly, the water pressure. It was awful during your stay, or at least I can assume so based on how it was during the cleaning afterwards. After your stay it took me a minute to change out the water filter, and if You had contacted us during your stay we could of done it then. With well water, there is no set time that the filters last, but we will continue to try to improve on this.

Peidmont Lakehouse Cabin
Publié le 12 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayOur stay was nice. Can clearly see that the owners are working on updates and what has been done is very nice. The pictures were deceiving. It looks like the fire ring is on the lake which is not the case. The owners did have a nice starter fire ready in the fire ring in the front-side yard. The lake is a 5 min drive away. We were a bit disappointed by the misrepresentation. Although the area was quiet, we had neighbors on all sides. For the price, if you have a boat, it would be a great home base.

Early Fall Fishing Cabin

Kitchen is well equipped -- everything needed to prepare meals.
Open layout of family/living room and kitchen provides a spacious space.
Bedrooms and bathroom are fine, but they are not as current as the open area.
Lock instructions suggestion -- use # key to unlock the door and hold it to lock the door.
