Best ever. Amazing Cabin
Publié le 4 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe hosts, Kay and Dustin have gone above and beyond providing a restful relaxing experience in their comfy secluded cabin. Bed was wonderful. Frig had a door full of condiment including great fresh eggs. Spices, coffee. The kitchen was just wonderful. Even though our first 3 days and nights it rained, which sounded delightful on the metal roof, we had a fabulous fire with the wood they provided (at a small cost) along with hot dog sticks, fire starter and fire starter cubes to get that wood going. We saw deer the last 2 mornings and turkeys roaming just beyond the deck. The hot tub was lit beautiful for both daytime and nighttime soaks!!!! They even had robes. It was sad to leave but feeling refreshed. Thank you Kay and Dustin.

Restful weekend

Cabin in the woods with amazing view

Disappointed
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property is very nice and the view was beautiful, but the hot tub broke an hour after arriving. Was really looking forward to looking at the mountains while enjoying the HotTub. The ponds thatvwere supposed to have fish were EMPTY, not water, but no fish. On the last day there was a smell that almost had us ready to leave. Owner said they didnt smell it when they arrived, but we ALL did.

Thanks for the review! First of all I want to say that the hot tub was functioning properly when you arrived & had been for 2+ years since it was purchased. Within a few hours of your arrival you explained TWO different stories to us about how the hot tub became unfunctional. We did not blame this on you and could have certainly turned it into your insurance but we didn't. We refunded a little money to give our apologizes. We had it fixed that Friday prior to the next guest arriving because we could not get anyone there until then. Second, the ponds do have fish in them including cat fish. Just because you don't catch any doesn't mean they aren't in there. As far as the smell. I believe this was a ploy to get a refund considering the hot tub incident. You also had mentioned how nervous you were that we were going to blame the hot tub on you. We barely smelled anything when we arrive in the loft and I even mentioned that it smelled like someone took a bowel movement in the restroom and you laughed and said yes, that be possible with these boys here. You also said that the smell had dissipated since you called us and was almost gone. So, not sure what your issue is leaving these things in our review because this is nothing like your stay went down. You are the only complaint we've had in a very very long time. Prob only our second neg review actually.
