Quiet relaxing getaway
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBest part was getting up in the morning sitting on the back porch with a cup of coffee and listening to the creek down below very quiet very nice. We overpacked everything was there down to the Salt and Pepper great kitchen.

Great friends weekend!
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur main attraction was Flight of 93 it was more than expected . Definitely a must see. Also visited the National Memorial of Johnstown Flood 1889 this was very interesting too. All was easy to drive to. Ate at Shorty’s 30 restaurant and bar … this place was absolutely amazing. Don’t let the outside detour you!!! Thank you so much. Your house was absolutely beautiful and very accommodating. Spent a lot of time on the back deck, enjoying the wildlife and scenery. Also played aggravation boys against girls and girls ruled . Thank you again. Christi, David, Kevin and Malinda from Ohio.!We give the property manager five stars. Our weekend was uneventful and there was no need to call. The phone number was left very visible on the front of the refrigerator in case we needed it.

We do provide our local contact for guests to reach out to for anything during their stay, so we wish that you reached out so we could have addressed it and taken care of the cleaning to better your experience.

Serene, peaceful location

Sounds like a wonderful weekend was enjoyed! It is true - there are AC units, not central air. We do believe the AC units do a great job keeping the house cool even through the heat of the summer!

Three Day Golf Trip

Quaint but needs updates, better cleaning service
Publié le 21 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWhen my family and I approached the property, we were excited with the view of the creek. The house is vintage with some quaint vintage wallpaper in several rooms. The only tv in the basement was great as was the wifi. When we opened the front door, we were immediately hit with the smell of natural gas which we figured out was from the gas fireplace in the basement. My husband was able to figure out how to reduce the smell and we aired out the house. Many furnishings in the home need to be updated. For example, most of the pots and pans are in terrible shape. The dishwasher would randomly turn itself on to "drain" cycle even though we never used it. The sofa in the basement had a depression so large in the center we had to use a pillow and a throw blanket to fill it so we could sit as a family to watch tv. On the housekeeping side of things, there were cobwebs and other debris in most of the corners of the first floor. While it may just be my preference, the beds not being dressed with sheets (and one bed's blanket and pillows in a messy pile on a chair) somewhat set me sour. There was also someone else's hair still in the first floor tub and sink. The house is vintage but the vintage doorknobs with no extra lock on the exterior doors made us a bit worried at night.

For the gas smell, dishwasher malfunction, and cleanliness of some areas in the home, we do wish that you reached out to our provided local contact for assistance with these matters (rather than hearing about them for the first time via public review). Our local contact is provided for this very reason - if there is anything that guests need during their stay someone can be of assistance! Our housekeeping team will be doing an inventory update of the home to replace items (such as the pots/pans) with wear and tear. As for our linen service, it is "beach style", meaning that clean linens are left in a basket at the foot of the bed. Many guests prefer this type of service so they know the sheets are clean - and it is a typical style of linen service provided in rental homes.
