Great place for family get away!

Had a wonderful stay, had most of the family (even those not staying in the house with us) out for grilling and hanging in the yard - mostly an impromptu family reunion that was awesome!

Relaxing stay at beautiful location
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house has character. There was more than enough space for our family. Rocking chairs at the porch, a picnic table, and fire pit at the back complete the outdoors. The environment is quiet, and the New River trail is conveniently nearby.

We loved the house and all the originality and history of it. It was very roomy and private.
I do wish the grass had been cut and I had received instructions about the property when leaving.
Overall it was a great experience and everyone loved staying there!

Farmhouse fun
Publié le 20 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe arrived late but Stephen called to let us know that he had everything ready for our visit. Even though he had a family situation he made sure that we were his top priority. The farmhouse reminded me of staying with my great grandmama back in the family farm which was not far from where we stayed. My nieces even though adults loved feeding the horses every morning and the deer outside the kitchen window every morning made all of our days. Thanks for a wonderful trip and we hope to make this a family tradition. He even called on our way home to make sure we had arrived home safely. Top notch

Wonderful Rustic Getaway near New River Trail

It was perfectly situated to get to the new river trail, has a semi fenced in yard that the puppies loved and the house worked perfectly for a friend's weekend in the mountains. Definitely rustic vibes but very cute! Kitchen was well appointed with pans, and the water pressure in the shower was also great.

Fiddler’s Old Farm is special
Publié le 22 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayOutstanding location and wonderful old farm property! The New River Bike trail was just down the road. Galax just a few minutes away. There is a pasture with horses and we saw deer and turkeys. House is a modernized old farmhouse and was rustic and comfortable!

Hillsvlle Flea Market Stay
Publié le 3 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayProperty was very nice, Clean, very quiet and had plenty of room. Sitting on the front porch swing in the morning and evening was very relaxing. We seen deer, wild turkeys a couple of ground hogs and the farm also had several horses. The owners were nice and very helpful.
