Comfortable with an amazing viee
Publié le 1 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery clean, very comfortable, quiet little treehouse in the woods with an amazing view! Has the creature comforts of home, and just a few minutes drive of stunning views to downtown Galena. Would definitely return to this one!

Nice setting but bad smell
Publié le 14 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayUnusual shaped property was a novelty but had an unpleasant musty smell that permeated the entire place and all of my belongings. It even clung to a drinking glass that I bought on the trip until I washed it at home! Nice to have 2 BR and 2 baths along with tons of windows in a beautiful natural setting, but with the funky smell, cheap construction, and stained rug, I would not recommend at this price.

Short Family Vacation
Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayGreat place to stay for short family vacation in the woods. House was perfect size and spaces for family of three adults for four nights. Home furnishings and interior style slightly dated but comfortable. The outdoor deck, the all around full windows of the house, and tje surrounding trees so close you can nearly touch them are the real strengths of the house. The availability of the indoor and outdoor pools were the other significant draws to this rental.

Excellent place to stay near Galena
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a group of 4, the oldest was in her early 80s. Those in our group with knee problems struggled with the ramp to get to the cottage. The master bathroom was too small. It had a really interesting round tall tub and then a tiny shower. We all ended up using the other shower. It felt very secluded even though we were in a very nice community. The pools were clean and wonderful. Much less crowded during the week of course. It’s about a 20 minute ride into downtown Galena. It was clean, with everything that we needed. Would stay again!

Never got an email stating where the keys would be to enter the house, the first email I sent asking about keys said that I could book the property (we were already booked) that made us nervous that we didn't have a reservation. In the end it worked out and we finally got ahold of the property owner and the rest of the stay was fine.
