We had a wonderful time at Avery! Bob and Cherish were kind and helpful. Everything was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and in the gazebo. We will be back!

This property has existed since the 1800s. The rooms are cute and quaint, and they are very clean. There is an outdoor patio and gazebo area so you can enjoy the views of the river and the town of Galena from a peaceful perch.
It is a PERFECT location for getting around. Main Street is a block away, so we walked there every day of our trip to shop and eat. The river is also a block away, so you can rent canoes/kayaks, rent bikes, walk the trails along the river, or simply sit and enjoy the views.
The host is accommodating and knowledgeable. Ask him anything and he is bound to know the answer. If not, he thrives on new knowledge and is sure to find the answer! There was a sit-down breakfast every morning at 9, and the food was great.
When we return to Galena, we will not hesitate to stay at this property again!

The location was perfect for walking into the downtown shopping district. Our room was clean, updated, and very comfortable. We would highly recommend them.

The property was very clean and updated. It was very conveniently located to Main Street, less than 10 minute walk. The hosts are very friendly and outgoing. They thought of any and all amenities that would be needed and had them available to guests. We will certainly stay there again on our next visit to Galena!
