Galena Gal Weekend 2024
Publié le 3 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayI would have given this place 5 stars across the board but there was a live fly infestation in the two upper bedrooms. We did not open any windows or doors but somehow they kept coming in. I'm just not a fan of sleeping and going to the restroom with flies. Just grateful they were not bees. I did text the owner about the flies but no reply. They did reply when I thought I left my glasses there so I appreciated that. Otherwise, the house is beautiful and easy to get to. This was our 17th year coming to Galena and we try new houses based on the number of gals that come. We enjoyed the layout of the house, especially the kitchen and family room. We would return if the fly problem was taken care of.

Thank you for your review and for staying at our home. A note to all guests: Our telephone number is a LANDLINE. You cannot text to this number. I give all guests my mobile phone number when I send the door code and again in the welcome packet we leave at the house so they can text me at that number. If you do not receive a response to a text, please call us! In this case, the guest texted the landline and never tried to call or send a message through Vrbo, so we did not know there was a problem. Unfortunately, the guest did experience a fly problem in a few rooms. We had pest control come out and spray the entire outside and inside of the home specifically for flies, so the problem should be solved. We're sorry the guest was inconvenienced. The guest contacted us through the Vrbo messaging system after their stay to ask us to look for a pair of glasses, and as she noted, we responded right away. Thanks again for the review and for staying at our home.

Nice and bright…love the big windows and wood in the living room. Great location and all levels of the home temperature-wise were great!
Checkin was quick and early. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you for a very comfortable stay!

Incredible House
Publié le 17 avr. 2024 sur HomeAway3 different families gathered to hang out at this house--6 adults and 1 kid--and we had a fantastic time! There is an abundance of seating options and the entire basement is basically a play zone, with a pool table, air hockey and foosball. The house was also large enough that our 4yr old was able to sleep soundly in the closest bedroom while we played games in the dining room at night. I would happily stay again.

Spring Break at Galena

It has been definitely the cleanest & kitchen well stocked . My grandkids loved the lower level with the pool table & foosball table. We had 3 different generations of our family & more than enough room to spread out or to be together. We would definitely come again !

Galena 2023
Publié le 22 août 2023 sur HomeAwayLoved the house and property. Only issue is somehow bees seem to find their way into the house. Killed 3 and our 2 year old got stung.
