Thoughtfully designed for up to 10 guests – the home features four large bedrooms – three bedrooms with king beds and one bedroom with 2 queen beds – with superb mattresses and high thread count sheets for the perfect night’s rest. Dine in casual comfort with bright, beautiful views overlooking the backyard and 6th hole of the South Course. The gorgeous kitchen comes fully equipped to help make cooking a breeze while staying with us. Each bedroom has a full ensuite bathroom or a full bathroom directly adjacent. After a day of skiing or hitting the golf course, take a dip in the hot tub under the star-lit skies of the Galena Territory. The bright and airy living room is perfect for family gatherings and watching movies with a roaring fire while the lower-level family offers a great spot for kids and adults alike to play games. In the warmer months, dine al fresco on the large deck and take in the views of the Territory from the screened porch.

The spacious dining table seats up to 8 surrounded by windows and views to the beautiful setting. A thoroughly outfitted kitchen is a delight for groups with everything you need from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Grab some cocoa, bake some cookies, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Plenty of large, beautiful baking dishes, a big slow cooker, even a large roaster, for brunch in pajamas, maybe chili & cornbread lunches, and decidedly relaxed dinners! And, for the lake lovers and fishing enthusiasts, you’ll have access to Lake Galena where you can fish from any of the coves on the lake or rent a fishing or pontoon boat, or a kayak to enjoy the lake at your pace. The Green on Southridge is a dog-friendly home with a $150 pet fee, up to 2 dogs max. All dogs must be house-trained. Guest is 100% responsible for the actions of their dog during their stay including but not limited to damage caused to the property. Guest must pick up and properly dispose of any dog waste. The $150 dog fee is a fee to bring a dog and does not cover any damages caused by the guest dog(s).

We had a girls getaway weekend. The house met all our needs. The four bedrooms, three with king beds and one with two double beds worked great for our group. The kitchen was very well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub. There was also a fire pit that we did not use but was very nice. The absolutely best thing about the whole rental was that we could put our trash in garbage bins right there on the property. Other houses we have rented in the territories force you to load up garbage bags in your car and take them to the dump. I would rent this house again just for that reason! I wish other property owners would do the same. It is so annoying after paying cleaning fees and hostess fees to be required to load garbage into your car to take to the dump.

Great space for girlfriend getaway
We had a girls weekend and loved this place. Beautiful house, property and amenities. It is updated and has a large living room and a gorgeous 3 season porch for morning coffee. Nice big deck too. Would definitely book again. We didn’t use the hot tub or firepit this time but nice to have those options.

Great house for our girls weekend. The 4 full baths were a game-changer for us. It's a short drive to downtown Galena, right on the golf course (we watched players from the deck), very clean with lots of nice touches. No complaints from us, we would recommend to any group.

Overall it was nice. Plenty of room. Good location. Well stock with kitchen necessities. Problems getting all the jets to work in hot tub. No firewood when arrived but they took care of it. Could use a good cleaning. Very expensive so expected perfect, but it was not. Had some good and some not so good.

Thanksgiving family getaway
My husband and I rented The Green on Southridge for us, our two grown kids and their families. The house was set up perfectly for our situation, 10 people and two dogs in all. We enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit in the backyard, the pool and gym at the Owner's club building, as well as strolling around the charming town of Galena. The grounds at this house are gorgeous! It's situated in a heavily wooded neighborhhood with rolling hills and ravines. We took a lot of hikes down the streets and walking trails. We also had a surprise visit from friends who were at the resort on Thanksgiving night. Lots of laughs and fun were had all weekend!

Family Gathering
This was our second stay in one of David's homes. I wish I could give it 10 stars! Our family of 6 adults and 4 preschoolers gathered there for a long weekend. We were able to spread out on 3 different floors but spent most of our time in the comfortable family room and screened in porch. We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and David's homes are exceptional and ultra clean. So many nice touches that make you feel welcome include delicious coffee, a well stocked kitchen with many extras, a snack basket and wine. There is a deck and fire pit area to enjoy the outdoors. The children enjoyed the sweet little reading nook and loved watching the wild turkeys on the golf course. There was a miscommunication with the cleaning crew about our arrival date but David took care of it immediately which is another reason we continue to return . Thanks for another great stay!

Galena Golf Outing
Had a great time, the house was perfect for all of us and had everything we needed. Having the golf course in the backyard was awesome, we sat and had coffee in the morning and watch as they came by!!! Location was good, close to everything!!! David was very easy to work with and always easily to get a hold of. Jerry and Kelly were also easy to get a hold of and showed us everything about the house when we arrived. Would stay there again when we visit Galena!!!

Wished there was more time. . .
Everything was just as described and better! We were a group of "old" college friends (9 of us) who meet periodically for fun and frolic! We mostly just enjoyed each other's company, but the cleanliness and amenities in the house made our stay very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, great quality in linens and other items which made us feel very much at home. Also, a basket of snacks and bottle of wine was a very welcoming feature. Owner and his friend helping as a contact were very congenial and pleasant with each contact. Definitely highly recommend for a very pleasant stay.

6 friends from nursing school gather every 2 years from across the country somewhere & we selected Midwest this year. Wonderful time of year; good restaurants & interesting shopping. Great home to relax & catch up on our lives together. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you could ask for. Owner himself was very prompt with answers & fixing a small snafu. Wonderful stay in wonderful rental
A fantastic stay in the beautiful Galena Territory. Tons of stuff to do from everyone ages 8 to 80. The house itself is beautiful, clean and well-appointed. The owner has thought of everything that you might want and provided it. The kitchen is the best equipped of any rental that I have ever stayed at. Really appreciated that every bedroom had an accompanying bathroom. Great hot tub. Beautiful deck and screened in porch. A nice hiking trail right outside the back door. Loved having access to the Galena Territory pool and horse stables for the kids. And downtown Galena is a close drive and a fun little gem of a town with many great shops, restaurants and history. The owner was super helpful and accommodating, too! Would definitely stay here again.

David’s house had everything we needed-the kitchen was well stocked with the basic supplies and plenty of equipment for preparing meals. The appliances were newer. Beach towels were also provided. The home was very clean. The bedrooms were spacious. Our family enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Yearly Family Vacation
This rental was perfect for our family. It was really beautifully appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We like that all the children could sleep downstairs. There was also a comfy family room in the lower level with a game table & TV. It was nice to send the children downstairs so we could have "adult time" on the main level. The kitchen is very well equipped and provided all the tools we needed since we cooked most of our meals at the house. We loved the screened porch, fire pit, hot tub and the large side yard where the children could run off all their energy. We have stayed in many Galena Territory rentals but this home "checked all of the boxes". It's awesome & we highly recommend it.

Great Family Home
We stayed at this property while attending a family reunion that was being held in the Galena Territories. Our host was very engaged with us from the moment we booked our stay. He helped us confirm that his home was the right place for our family. As we approached our rental dates, our host sent extensive materials about the property and the area including restaurants and golf lists. He also included property instructions and packing lists. For example, we knew that the property had both a drip coffee pot and a Keurig machine, so that we could pack appropriately. When we arrived, we were greeted by our hosts neighbor and friend who showed us every light switch and window blind in the property. We were also instructed on how to maintain the water quality in the hot tub during our stay. We have rented through VRBO many times, but this was the most personal greeting we have ever received. The property is meticulous. Our host provided new bar soap, hand soap, and dixie cups at every sink. The kitchen is well stocked to serve all the guests and then some. Our host provided snacks, a welcome bottle of wine, and coffee. The beds are comfortable, the towels were thick, and all cleaning products and trash bags were provided. The description of the property and surrounding amenities is very accurate. One of the greatest features of this property is the direct access to paved walking trails and the Eagle Ridge Resort (3 minutes away). We will definitely stay here again.

Our stay was everything we wanted it to be. Having someone greet us was helpful especially having them show us how to operate the whirlpool. The house has everything we could want. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances and tools needed to prepare any meal/dessert. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was a treat. The host has thought of everything! The wildlife is fun to watch, the wild turkeys are always a treat to see. The host was available for any questions we had during our stay. We definitely recommend this property,
