Great place & reasonably priced!

The price was comparable to the hotels on the beach, but much nicer & roomier. We highly recommend this property and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again (but longer next time).

Not bad but rough around edges
Publié le 3 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayLocation was great, check in was great, view of the ocean was great. Not going to repeat comments from the good reviews - we did enjoy our stay. Owner was also very responsive.
However, a few things detracted from the experience.
1. The place was really humid so they had a portable dehumidifier at the place. It filled with water every 6 hours and had to be poured out. The machine was moldy and it woke us up each night in the middle of the night when it stopped running because it was full. Also, if it stopped running while we were away, the place was really humid when we got back.
2. The sheets were clean on the loft bed, but there were stains on them. No way around it… that’s not great.
3. The place was dated. The owner did a good job updating it with some nice art and some great decorations, but the place just felt a little tired. For example, there was a soft spot on the floor, the chairs were peeling, and the floor was coming apart in spots.
A quick note that there was no bath tub too.
It really wasn’t a bad place but I thought these were worth noting.

Thank you for the comments on your stay. To clarify for future guests. 1. Yes, the place can get humid; it is Galveston, and the condo faces the water. To improve the situation, I installed a central dehumidifier worth $5000 in March 2024 (of course, that information is not available to my guests). The portable dehumidifier only affects nearby areas, so concluding that the place got humid when it stopped working is incorrect. There is still a central dehumidifier at work.
2. I am incredibly sorry about the spots on the sheets, and if I were notified, I would get them promptly exchanged.
3. Renovation in November 2021 didn't include just hanging nice pictures, but a complete exchange of the subfloor, a new shower install (yes, the bathtub was replaced with a shower), new flooring, paint, etc.
Overall, I will happily answer any questions potential future guests might have since, as mentioned, this review pointed out only negatives, which might give an overall very negative impression.

Birthday getaway

The apartment was amazing, with a fantastic location right on the beach.
There was a hitch in check-in that was my fault, but other than that, it was great.

Great Location for Family Beach Days!
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall, we were pleased with our stay. The unit was nicely decorated and we had a great view of the ocean from our room. Check in was a breeze for both communicating with the owner and also the property manager. Some general improvements are needed at the condo complex as a whole (paint, TLC) and the specific unit we rented as well. The top dishwasher rack was broke and the top of the microwave is melted. But for what my family and I needed, this worked out very well.

Great stay
Publié le 25 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time staying here, the Condo was clean and as pictured, good communication with the owner, and a great spot on the beach. The pool and hottub were nice also, We will be booking the place again in the future!
