Women’s retreat

Home was cozy with great views. Door code didn’t work but we were able to get help quickly.

Description says there is a pool and hot tub. Unless you pay 25$ per person, you have no access. Overall property was not very clean (dirty plates, hairs in shower...) Not recommended

No ELEVATOR

Unit is exactely like the pictures posted. Best view ever! Some reviewed the unit as moldy/ humidity smelling, I'm a Florida gal & it's not a moldy scent it's straight up pet/ dog/ scent, kinda disgusting actually! Sides of bed in master bedroom were lined with sand. USB chargers installed behind end tables in master did not work at all. Charged phones in the bathroom. Unit had all items needed for a long term stay but you do need to bring coffee filters/coffee. Toilet paper/ paper towels/ dish soap/ dishwasher/ shampoo/ conditioner/ bath soap items provided but enough for 2 days. Pots/ pans/ dishes/ sheet pans/ provided. But NO elevator was a huge problem! As someone who had reconstructive surgery n cannot lift more than a coffee cup, this was an issue! My husband drove back into Houston for work Mon/ Tuesday AM n I had to check out solo, this wasn't cool! Overall unit was pleasant besides the odor!

Pleasantly Surprised!

Based on some of the other reviews, I was concerned about our stay. I called ahead of time to ensure everything would be there when we arrived. They delivered! The place was spotless, we had plenty of pillows, kitchen stuff, towels, etc. The view was awesome, very quiet when we stayed. Just be aware it is a little ways in to town, but that's what we loved the most because it wasn't crowded and really quiet!

Amazing stay!

Everything about our stay was amazing! The listing is just as described in person and was also perfect for our furry friends. Location is amazing and far from the busier public beach. We hope to return soon!

Quick getaway

No pool,no hot tub & no elevator,everything was down. A little ruff for a 60's yr old couple going up & down 43 steps. Best veiw in Galveston (5 stars)

Nightmare

No heat, no hot water, no blankets and no host. One of the beds didn’t even have sheets and the kitchen lacks adequate cookware. This place is not fit for humans and should be removed from VRBO.

Decent place

Overall, a decent place. Low water pressure and the air in the unit when we first arrived was stagnant but once we opened doors and turned up the air it was fine. Very minimal kitchen supplies. Dont bother trying to cook a decent meal or even a frozen pizza there's no pan for that

Beautiful location, serene, beach front was perfect just a moldy.

Perfect condo outside of the noisy congested downtown area. Beautiful beach front, not packed at all. Had all the privacy in the world, pleasant staff, spacious condo. Only two cons, there was the overwhelming strong mold smell, the hvac ducts were moldy and damp so the mold smell filled the condo and we ended up leaving early because our sinuses and headaches were so bad. Sheets and towels were super saturated with the smell. Definitely know what cookware you need before showing up because it’s very sparse. Bring your own coffee as well and snacks etc. Had a broom to sweep floors but no other cleaning supplies so if you want to clean between meals bring your own. Other con was we couldn’t access pool the first night because we arrived right at 5 and the reception area was closed so I wasted $50 on bands I couldn’t use. I had called ahead and to no avail so that sort of took away the point of booking the unit because we like to swim in the evenings. Chatbot was as accommodating as you can expect but having prepaid for the bands I’d would have liked to have been able to get full use of them. Balcony was awesome just don’t sit in most of the chairs they’re rusted and most were rusted together and broken stacked in the corner. Condo was cool though so if you’re a hot sleeper the HVAC definitely keeps you more than comfortable. No food delivery, it’s a remote area but well worth the location. Would stay here in the mold would be remediated because the location is sublime!
