Property smelled of cigarette smoke ,screen door was broke and the wi fi did not work even after requesting it to be fixed poorly run property

I am so sorry that someone prior to you violated our no smoking rules. Our cleaning lady apparently did not detect the odor or she would have make sure that it was removed prior to your arrival. I do appreciate your letting us know. The unit will be cleaned thoroughly and an ozonater placed in there to remove the odor completely. Re: the WiFi If we are made aware that it continues to give you problems, we provide you with an extender. If you do decide to give us another try, we will give you a free night.

Lake trip

Booked a weekend trip for the lake. It was easy to find. Nearest boat ramp about 2 miles away. Clean inside and good communication with owner/manager. Building and furnishings are older. Needs some outside work and landscaping would help. Overall a good stay. If you’re looking for new or excellent accommodations, this isn’t it. If you want an affordable stay that is clean but not new, this could be for you

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. You should have come to us right away, we had other units we could have moved you to. We do have a spray service that would have made a service call while you were here if you preferred not to move. Unfortunately with many guests, it is difficult to keep the insects out. I appreciate your review. Obviously, this cabin needs special attention and will receive immediate attention.

The grounds are beautiful in the fall with lots of color. This was a quiet place. My dog loved exploring and it was a good place to have my dog with us. The beds were very hard and a bit uncomfortable. The couches were very soft and quite used. The coffee pot took 30 minutes to make a pot of coffee. The two beds which looked like 2 bedrooms online were actually in the same room. We still enjoyed our short 2-night stay.

Thank you for taking time to review us. Two things we could have helped you with, the hard mattress and the coffee pot. We, as your host, want you to enjoy your stay! We can correct just bout anything. We have firm and soft mattress toppers for situations like this. We also have extra coffee pots. Don't endure something unpleasant! You host wants to enjoy every minute of your vaca. Let us know! We will fix it. I hope you will come back and give us a chance.!

Three of us stayed at the Elk Crossing cabin. It was nice to have separate sleeping arrangements and a sitting area as well. Heat was great (stayed in February), lots of hot water. It served our needs and Betty was terrific. Overall the place looks run down and old. The carpet is heavily worn, the kitchenette is dated but functional. The interior doors squeak and the patio doors don't really slide to open. With a little love and updating it would be very charming.

Thank you for your review. We love to hear from our guests! Thank you for letting us know about the squeaks, etc. We go through about the end of February to check and correct issues that we are not advised of and the maid doesn't report. We are doing things gradually to upgrade. The chalets will get prower washed and re-stained this spring, road work will be done, etc. Carpets will be replaced as needed. Unfortunately, C2 had dog damage which we had not had time to replace when you reserved. I would have moved you to another chalet if it had been possible and I had known. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I hope you will give us another chance.

Perhaps next time you can enjoy our campfire, zipline, homemade nachos and perhaps a movie in the Pavillion Circle. The weather did not permit that this time.
