You'll find everything you need for a memorable Bear Lake escape at this relaxing, ground-level condo in Garden City, which features a gas fireplace, a prime location close to all the action, and shared use of a seasonal pool, a year-round hot tub, and tennis courts! Come home each afternoon to a private propane grill on your patio, a full kitchen, and DirecTV service. In addition to the bedroom, you'll find a sleeper sofa in the living room.

A stay at this condo will treat you to all of the amenities of Harbor Village, including the outdoor pool, hot tub, and tennis and basketball courts. Hop on the Harbor Village bike path or walk a few blocks to the nearby marina on Bear Lake. You'll also be a short drive from Garden City Beach (a mile south), Lakeview Market (a mile south), the Bear Lake West Golf Course (four miles north), Minnetonka Cave (22 miles northwest), and Beaver Mountain Ski Area (14 miles west).

Good and Bad
The unit itself was totally satisfactory but I always had trouble getting into the front door. I had to do the punch code three or four times until it finally opened. The last night I didn't get in until after 10 pm and it wouldn't open at all. Luckily I had the emergency number in my purse and was able to call someone who told me about the hidden key in the hot water heater closet. If I hadn't had that number, I don't know what I would have done. There was no one anywhere to help. It was a little scary.

Nice condo in good location
This property worked well for me while I was recently in the area. Great location walking distance to grocery, restaurants and park / marina. It was a little tricky to find which unit (and building) was mine in this condo (likely timeshare) complex. Would love to see an in-unit (or even on-site) laundry.

Bear lake family reunion
We had four (4) condos for our family. We played Pickelball, played on the grass and of course, swam everyday…. The hot tub was my favorite after a day on the lake…. We WILL be back!!!!!

Clean but…
Great location on ground floor. Property very clean, kitchen had what you need, but walls super thin and not able to sleep on the pull out couch. You could feel the bars through the mattress. Great place with really only one queen bed and bring ear plugs.

Not worth staying at
We would like to bring some items to your attention with regard to our rental below. This is a list of items broken, missing and not working. 1. Broken PatioDoor - No lock (using a plastic pipe to stop door from being opened) 2. Light in Living room ceiling not working 3. Light over patio outside not working 4. No proper mugs for tea or coffee 5. No soup or cereal spoons 6. No bowls for mixing salads 7. Stove burners are disgusting, tin foil under burners never replaced. Also oven needs a good clean 8. No phone - for emergency use should something happen 9. Living room couch (Hide-a-bed) needs replacing 10. No roasting pan or cookie sheet for oven use 11. Clock on wall not working 12. Top of fridge and top of microwave very greasy - needs to be cleaned 13. Fridge may need replacing as it freezes everything on top shelf inside fridge even at lowest temperature. Freezer needs defrosting. 14. Lots of gouges in the walls This unit is certainly not worth the rate that was charged. We would never recommend this property and really it should not be on any rental site. The owners of this rental should be ashamed of themselves that they would have this unit in the shape that it is in.

First impression was great. There are a few things that after being there we found less than satisfactory. Comfort issues Bed needs new mattress. Couch needs replaced hide a bed is uncomfortable toilet requires flushing twice. Safety stool seats are coming off a toddler could pull them off on there head. All in all we loved it but sleep is very important.

Enjoyed a clean unit. The description of pool access and the picture of the view is totally misleading as the unit is on the opposite side of the building with a view of the parking lot. That was disappointing. We really were looking forward to looking out to the lake. Pool was not open as well. The TV in the bedroom needs to be on a digital antenna or connected to the DirectTV. Great location. Would not rent this unit again if I could get one on the lake side. Overall if your looking for a quiet time to visit this was great.

Perfect Location
As other reviews mention, if you are looking for a newly remodeled place, this isn’t for you as it’s definitely dated. However, my husband and I just wanted somewhere to cook some meals and sleep and we both agree it was worth the price. It’s right across the street from the Marina, tennis, the pool and basketball was fun and we were able to rent bikes for $5. The unit was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to make our meals. We were able to park right out the sliding glass door so we didn’t have to carry our stuff far. There was plenty of room for anyone pulling a boat to park as well. There is cable in the living room but I would suggest bringing DVDs for the bedroom TV. We would definitely stay here again, easy, simple and great location, thanks!

Perfectly adequate
It didn’t cost very much so I guess I shouldn’t ask very much. Pros: it is in a great location, and clean. Things worked. It was fine. Tennis courts were fine, but pickleball lines would be nice. The pool is fine. Things were clean. Cons: my frustrations begin with the parking. It was a mess. The decorations in the room are so dated. The pvc pipe lock on the sliding door was funny. The bed was fine for one night but became uncomfortable after a few nights.

Disappointing
Great location and view across from the Lake. :) but no body to check us in & lobby door was locked. No mattress in the couch so our lower backs sank in. I had to vacuum the carpets & rug in bathroom due to crumbs etc. No coffee filters but there were two left from the last group ya! :) We were on hold for over 20 minutes trying to get a live body on phone until we just finally hung up. Over all we felt we overpaid for what we got. It was our first time visiting and i was hoping to have a better experience. Thank you for your time and consideration, Dawn McLaren

Steer clear of Homeaway
HomeAway listed a Vacasa property as sleeping 6 adults. When we arrived, there was barely room for 4. We contacted Vacasa (the owner) and was told it only slept 4. The app didn’t work well due to location, so I was unable to contact HomeAway until arriving home. They told me I should have contacted them while I was there...though I was unable to. They told me they’re not responsible for the listing, yet charged me $32 fee. They said they’d contact me back, no response. If you find a listing on HomeAway, try booking directly with the owner...save yourself the fees for their lack of service.

Vacasa is doing vrbo no favors
My husband I have used vrbo in the past and have been very pleased. This time was very unsatisfactory. I never received any communication from the Vacasa company other than my original confirmation email. In the past, I have received multiple emails that provided ample information on the property, along with check in/out procedures. When I arrived at my property, I had no clue how to secure my “condo.” After trying the original 1-800 number, which was closed, I searched in the building, until I found what might be the number. Thankfully they answered and they were able to give me my room number and security passcode. This so-called condo is advertised as having room for 6 guests. We were furious when we discovered that the square footage would allow 6 guests, but there was only accommodations for 4 guests. 2 of my children ended up sleeping on the floor for 3 nights. Even if I would have known to bring an extra air mattress, there is not enough room for one. The extra pillows in the bedroom (under the sham pillows), had no pillowcases on them. The beds were both very lumpy and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and well-worn. I expect more from a bed and pillows with the amount paid to book each night. The wi-fi and satellite only worked part time. The sink in the kitchen does not run hot water. This may also be true for the dishwasher, which means dishes are not being sanitized appropriately. There was garbage under the pullout bed. I will book through vrbo again, but certainly not with Vacasa. They are a joke, and vrbo should not be representing them.

It was ok
Overall the property was ok. We had a few hiccups along the way. When we first arrived the door to the condo was wide open. There were multiple unsupervised children running the halls which made me nervous for our opened door. The pool key didn't work and we had to have someone let us in. There were no toiletries as advertised and I'm glad I brought my own. Overall the condo was cozy and worked for what we needed but the things listed were disappointing.
