Great view, nothing else
Publié le 13 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis could be an outstanding property if it was given any attention…nothing has been updated or cleaned since 1979. Last bugs we everywhere, especially all over the shower. The bed and sheets were bought in the late 80s. There isn’t even a fitted sheet. The couch cushions have a fish smell to them.
The hot tub is a plus, minus all the dead orb spiders.

Cute little Cabin

The shower is a double shower open in the bedroom, jacuzzi in the bedroom and a sauna. The hot tub outside was in a nice location to overlook Gatlinburg. I would buy the things you need before getting there because there aren’t many stores around.

Fantastic Views
Publié le 23 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe views from this property are simply amazing and can be enjoyed sitting on the deck or in the hot tub. The property needs a little TLC. The sauna doesn’t work. The shared shower set up is different but if you’re a little adventurous, it can be fun.

Amazing views, but…
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were moved to their other property, Black Bear. The overall stay was just ok. The views & location to everything were the best part & what made staying here worth it. My husband & I have stayed at many rental properties & this was our first not so great experience. They really upsold the listing. The property is in need of some TLC & has so much potential to be an amazing place to stay. When we got here we noticed stains on the carpet & couch in the main area. The upstairs bedroom was nice, but the bed was not very comfortable. We never used the upstairs bathroom besides the first night where we discovered the shower was not clean & had what looked like black mold on the floor. The sink wouldn’t drain so my husband tried to use the plunger which brought up a ton of gunk that looked like weed/tabacco. Overall felt dirty. They advertised a kitchen that can cook a gourmet meal. This is not the case, it was supplied with bare minimum & a blender that didn’t work. My husband & I had to go buy extras like, dishwashing soap & hand soap. Nothing was provided. We had to call the property manager a few time to get things to work. The TV & WiFi password, which we never got the WiFi to connect to our devices & only a handful of TV stations worked. It would be very helpful to have a welcome guide with house rules that lists everything out. Again, this was the first property we have stayed at that didn’t provide this and only provided the bare minimum.

Mountain Vacation
Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a unique bear experience. We ordered pizza to delivered to the property. When the delivery man showed up at our door he was being chased by a large black bear. It was about 10' on his heel. We let him in the house and locked the door. The bear left with her 3 cubs in 5 minutes. The view was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice and relaxing getaway
