There is a lovely dining room table located right off the kitchen, surrounded by windows to take in the mountain ambiance and views.

Hoot Owl Haven is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy family movie night (or the big game) in the living room while the fireplace roars in the distance. Step outside, kick back in the porch swing and take in the gorgeous views while you sip your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. And you will love relaxing in the bubbling hot tub on the outdoor deck while taking in that fresh Smoky Mountain air! You’ll also be a very short distance to the resort’s large picnic pavilion and playground, which offers access to picnic tables and charcoal grills. There are also 2 outdoor pools in the resort area, one that is less than a 5 min walk and the other that is about a 5 minute drive. Both boast sun chairs, umbrellas, and tables. *Please note that the pools are open seasonally only during the warmer months.*

If you are travelling to Gatlinburg for any type of tournament at Rocky Top Sports Center this is a great place to stay! Just minutes away! Also excellent food within a few minutes which is always important with tournament travel.

Poor Communication
My family (including a 6 month old) stayed at this cabin for the week. Upon arrival, we realized that the listing stated 2 bedrooms but it is really one bedroom with a loft. The cabin was clean, but there were ants in the kitchen. There was a bad storm where we lost power for 12 hours (not the hosts fault at all). When the power came on, the heat did not and we did not have heat for 24 hours from when the power came on. I let the host know around 2pm that we had no heat. Instead of sending someone out to fix the heat that evening, he asked me to troubleshoot by doing a few tasks (including tripping the breakers) which did not fix the heat. It got down in the 30s this night so my husband and I had to wake up every hour to turn the timer on the fireplace back on, to keep our baby warm. The next day, the repairman arrived mid morning. Upon his arrival, he informed us that he let the property manager know there was a button on the fireplace to keep it on 24/7, however the property manager never communicated that to us. The property manager has very poor communication.

Justin (our host) was very pleasant. Easy to communicate with and always respond promptly. Our place was wonderful, very clean, spacious, and cozy. We were close to downtown Gatlinburg also. would def. stay at the same place again if we were to ever come back. Would highly recommend.

Lovely Cozy Cabin
My husband and I had our honeymoon in this cozy little cabin. It was plenty spacious, clean and had everything we needed and more. Obviously we loved the hot tub. It’s also at the end of the neighborhood so it feels more secluded. My only complaint is the reminder calls. I was getting calls from unknown numbers that we needed to confirm our stay. Didn’t I do that when I booked it? Just seemed unnecessary to me.

Great Cabin for Rocky Top Sports Complex Events
Clean cozy cabin and is perfect location for sporting events at Rocky Top Sports. Perfect size for 2 adults and a teenager. Managers are quick to respond. I missed an email requesting a photo of my DL but we got that worked out and then the Internet Password didn’t work when we got there. Again worked it out quickly. I would definitely stay at this cabin again

New Years Vacation
We absolutely loved our stay at the Hooten Owl Cabin! The cabin was clean and cozy. The beds were super comfortable. There was more then enough space for all of us to have our own space when needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were grocery stores very close by. Overall one of the best vacations we’ve had.

Girls trip
The cabin itself was nice and cozy. My only complaint is it’s closer to the road so we heard everything all throughout the night even with a sound machine on. We also had random knocks at our door throughout the night which of course we didn’t answer. Other than that, the property was beautiful and we even saw a bear!

Perfect Cabin for our Family
Hoot Owl Haven was a great little cabin for my husband and I plus our two young kiddos. The cabin itself had everything we needed. We really enjoyed movie/game nights in front of the fireplace and chilly evenings in the hot tub. The location couldn’t be beat, as we felt off the beaten path but were just minutes from town. Cozy Cabin Getaway
We had a fantastic experience staying here with my family of five for a couple of days. It was immaculately clean and comfortable for everyone. The property managers had excellent communication. The only drawback, (and it wasn’t a dealbreaker), was having the busy highway directly in view behind the cabin. Otherwise highly recommended.

Very cute place!
The location was great. However there is a somewhat busy road that caused noise pollution while chillin’ on the decks. The beds were creaky and felt like they’ve about had it. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was nicely stocked. The TV area is comfy. To get to this cabin you have to go up a very steep hill, then down the hill about 50’ over. Its was a little scary in my hatchback.

Great cabin off the beaten path
We had a wonderful stay at the Hoot Owl Haven cabin! Everything was very clean, and had just the right amount of space for our family. We loved the multiple decks and the spacious hot tub that was ready to go as soon as we arrived. The added pool area and extra amenities made this stay an enjoyable and peaceful experience for the kids as well as the adults after spending a long day in Gatlinburg. You do have to drive into town as walking would be a little too much of a hike, but that was stated in the listing. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a perfect little cabin just off the beaten path.
