Weather

Publié le 8 déc. 2024 sur HomeAway
We just got lucky and had really cold weather a few of the days. It was hard to keep the camper warm. No one's fault. But, I got to see the Smokies for Christmas. That was the goal. Thank you.

Autumn getaway

Publié le 8 nov. 2024 sur HomeAway
This is my third time staying at this property. Typically I would rate it a 5/5 but was a little disappointed this time.Although the camper rules state no pet, the camper smelled horribly like wet dog. I was told this is due to the lady bug infestation. Please know, this typically is not a problem. I love this property and would recommend it to anyone traveling on a budget.

Cute quite clean

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t spend much time at the resort. Too much to explore in TN. We did see a bear on a quiet walk trail across a river. It was on a quiet walk train just outside of town in Gatlinburg. And one running through a yard close to town. The location is great close to Gatlinburg. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

Lovely little spot

Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAway
The Outdoor Resorts Gatlinburg was a wonderful campground with so many kind, friendly folks, we spent very little time indoors! The camper was ok. Great location within the campground. For the price, we were pleased. The place needs a thorough cleaning and de-cluttering, but again, it was ok. There is every imaginable pot/pan/baking sheet/kitchen tool stuffed into the small space. The sofa is not a pull out, but we didn't need it. When we opened the closet in the bedroom to check for a luggage rack (no other space to lay your suitcase other than the easy chair in the corner) and it too was stuffed with bedding/fans(2-3)/hangars/etc. We didn't feel like digging, so we just used the easy chair. The sliding door used for entry was a bit tough to lock and unlock (as older sliders usually are), but we figured it out after a few attempts. The host was incredibly accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Entry details were provided in ample time, as was a request for parking suggestions for our friends who wanted to visit us. Very good host. Excellent location along the forest line. We will definitely be back to ORG.

It was just ok

This was just a meh stay. Seemed really nice when getting there. But, with further investigation, it was just mid. We had bad ants, a colony on the bathroom sink. There were others in the kitchen as well. The front door's a pain to lock. Camper feels damp, especially after the storm that poured on us. Outside, the lake isn't that big & has little structure for proper fishing, so don't get your hopes up in that department. The pool's nice, but putt-putt is outdated and drab. The camper's somewhat difficult to find, and one has to search for it as instructions from the host aren't incredibly accurate, nor is Google. A golf cart was parked in driveway blocking part of it the entire time. I was told by the host to ignore it, that they can be rented at clubhouse. However, the golfcart didn't allow for proper parking subjecting the front end of my vehicle to damage from oncoming traffic because it stuck out. Communication with the host was purely on their terms. I rented for 3 days. I told her I couldn't afford another 3 and kindly asked if she could give us a lower rate that matched a hotel (The Clarion downtown) for the last 3 days we wanted to stay. Crickets..No response! Then, we had to cut the trip short because of an injury sustained at the pool. I messaged the host kindly asking if she could assist us in any way on the rate for the 3rd night & where check out instructions were. No response to the injury or assistance. It was only, "Look on the refrigerator." Rude i.m.o.

Nice enough spot near Gatlinburg

Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAway
We didn’t mind our stay at the RV. It was basic but had everything we really needed. We had a hard time finding the RV within the park because the other ones aren’t well marked but we eventually found it. The place was mostly clean but there were some ants throughout and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest I’ve seen, but acceptable. I do recommend fixing the door since is very difficult to shut and lock the screen. Overall the park is nice and the RV was a fine place to stay cheaper than some of the other listings in the area!

Affordable Gatlinburg

Great place to stay to see Gatlinburg on a budget if you have reasonable expectations. It's a single wide trailer in an RV park. It's not a beautiful modern single family home with all the amenities but it's clean and affordable. I would stay here again.

Great getaway!

Really enjoyed our stay at Sadie’s. A little bit of a distance to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but the scenery makes it worth the drive. The resort had everything we needed. Would book again!
