Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HotelsThe location was great . The problem was the add said the room was 700 sq. feet it was about 300 sq. feet. The room needs a total upgrade . Wall sockets wouldn't hold a plug the doors need new handles and were hard to close . The sink and faucets need updating. Everything was old .It was like being in the 50's . The plus side was the tennets were very friendly. I would go back if the upgrades were done.

The units are very clean and carries a Nastaja look and charm. It is only a seasonal resort and has only a small profit. A total upgrade is not possible for such a small resort. What is here is very useful. I just upgraded to streaming TV, new dock with a bench seat, new outdoor chairs, painting, new shed, new blacktop on parking lot and new steps to the lake is upcoming this fall. Two new coaches and three new refrigerators. Also new ceiling fans in the larger units and ceramic tile in the bathrooms in the three motels are to be done this fall or next spring. Small repairs of door handles are fixed all the time. If you would have let us know we would have replaced them, The view of the lake and swimming and fishing here is enjoyable. Could that possibly outweigh these comments?

We are mystified at why anyone could give this more than 2 stars. Room was so musty we had to open windows for a couple of hours. Fridge did not get cold, TV didn’t work, light fixtures were pulled out of exterior walls. Frightening experience. Call the health dept.

You need to stay at new motels in town for 200 dollars more a night. Not small lakefront motel that are seasonal.

Nice property. We arrived late and we were scolded by the owner. Charged our credit card before we even arrived. Probably won’t return due to the rudeness of the owner. Doesn’t deserve our business. Plenty of places to tryout up north.

I guided you to your unit and checked you in. Your sister told me that you were right behind her when she check in at 2;00 pm and that she would take care of you with your arrival. That is why I told you I have no availability at 11:00 pm. Sorry for the confusion. I think you taking the rudeness part to far.

Not so good, especially for the price.
Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HotelsNot so good. There were earwigs in the bathroom and kitchen. No air-conditioning, and it was quite humid and uncomfortable. The room smelled musty and gave me a headache. It is very dated, and the bathroom is the smallest I've ever seen. The bed sloped to the middle. After the first night we asked in the morning to get our money back for the second night but they wouldn't do it.

I just had the carpets professional cleaned today as I often schedule. The units are clean and smell good. All my other reviews state how clean they are. I offer a full acre of lakefront property, dock with a bench seat to fish or star graze, boat, fire pit, picnic tables and grills that face a very scenic lake. This is why people come to a small Mom and Pop resort. Not a modern style but still looks nice and is clean. Units rent for 2 night minimum on weekends. 125 per night for the last weekend of July is a very reasonable price.. If you would like to try our resort again I would give you a free night stay.

My son and I stayed for a long weekend at Dixon Lake Resort in room #3. We absolutely loved our time at this cozy resort. I had my coffee outside every morning, enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. We went kayaking and fished every day we were there (caught a ton of fish). The rooms had a retro style, which we loved, and it had everything we could possibly need, such as: regular sized refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink, coffee pot, tv w/cable, and a tub/shower bathroom. Our hot water wasn't working the first evening, but the owners were extremely quick to fix this issue and it was fixed in a matter of just a couple hours. This place is a true gem, you can't beat the views, the lake is beautiful, and it's so peaceful. We will be back! Thank you for a great weekend.
