GOOD: Staff was very friendly; room was clean; bed was comfortable; convenient parking; pool temperature was great. NOT GOOD: Hot tub jets didn't work properly; waffle maker didn't work; our room shared the wall with laundry and could hear machine hum consistently. BAD: faint beeping of an alarm (dryer?) entire stay.

Excellent Hotel with Excellent Service

Our stay at the Fairfield Marriot in Gaylord was excellent! The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The front desk staff, Krista, not sure if this spelling is correct,was very professional and courteous and made sure our stay was excellent. She truly went above and beyond and I would consider Marriot giving her a promotion would be my recommendation! The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious especially the make your own waffles! Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was amazing! It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hot breakfast was delicious with a ton of choices. It felt very safe and the staff was wonderful and friendly. Next time we are in Gaylord, we will stay here. Have stayed at others in the area. They don't come close. Only negative was the toilet broke that morning. Strangely enough, I have never stayed at a hotel in Gaylord that had good plumbing. I think it's a town thing.

I encountered some check in glitches. The day before my stay I received an email from Fairfield to check in early. When I tried to check in the email said that there wasn't a reservation for me. So I panicked and tried calling the Fairfield in Gaylord. I tried three times calling the number listed on the website only to get a recording stating that the number is no longer in service. I arrived at the Fairfield the next morning wondering if there would be a room for me. There was. I told the attendant about the recording and she was not aware of the issue. I wonder why staff would not know that their phone number sometimes doesn't work. It would certainly discourage people from making reservations. I was totally frustrated by the whole experience. I hope they get that phone number issue worked out.

I stopped there late in the evening, and left fairly quickly in the morning, which doesn’t normally iliicit much feedback for a review. But room and building was extremely nice and comfortable, and service was excellent and memorable. GM was playing desk clerk, night auditor, bartender and more, but still offered excellent service and warm conversation.
