Nice spot on the beach

Great location
Publié le 13 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayPerfect location. Easy to drive to beaches one direction and then the other. As other reviews mentioned, the path to the beach is steep and uneven. Not for travelers with mobility issues and may be difficult with younger kids. But wasn’t an issue for us. Lots of beach towels available in the unit.

Beautiful beach!

Right on the BEST BEACH!
Publié le 9 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property manager followed us from the airport and met us at the property. She was great and was there for us for anything we needed.
We loved the house and it had everything we needed and was just as described in VRBO. One thing we realized over the week that we were there is that this house is on the BEST BEACH on the island! Other people had to travel to experience this beach and we had a house on it! In fact, we had one of the only spots on the beach where there were shade trees up on the higher point of the beach. This place is incredible and is close to restaurants and town.
We had a fantastic time and for sure will be renting this house again when we return to Exuma!
Highlights for us were the Sunday pig roast at Chat n Chill (the stingrays & conch salad there too), everything in Georgetown!, the eating places at Fish Fry, we truly loved so much about our trip it's hard to single a few things. Karaoke at the Fish Fry on Friday night was a blast too! Easter Sunday mass at St. Theresa's was so glorious & followed with an Easter egg hunt! Fantastic!!

Amazing Week at Bikini Bottom!
Publié le 17 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property location is AMAZING! About 10 minutes from Georgetown. The beach is beautiful and has about a mile of sand that you can walk. The water is a great depth that if you are traveling with kids you would not be worried about big drop offs. We shopped at Smitty's and Georgetown markets and cooked many meals at the house. The house has everything we needed.

Exuma Beach Front Bungalow

The property is located on the water with a short but fairly steep path to the private beach.
If you have any mobility problems (we do not) it could be a challenge getting down and up from the beach. It is located on Hoopers Bay, a very popular but uncrowded area.There are a few islands that shelter the bay.
Half the time we were the only people around and had the beach to ourselves. The views are spectacular and the water is a blue that I've only seen before in pictures.
Stacy, the property manager was awesome, always got back to us with any questions we had.

A little slice of paradise
Publié le 2 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family (2 parents, 3 millennials) spent the Christmas hols in Exuma and Bikini Bottom was the perfect home away from home. One son and his GF took the loft, the other son the downstairs bedroom, and we were in the master, all with plenty of room.
The cottage is perfectly located between the airport and Georgetown on Hoopers Bay, a lovely stretch of beach with gentle waves. Bikini Bottom has plenty of beach toys - kayak, paddle board, fins, and floaties - and lovely cabanas at both beach level and on the deck just outside the master bedroom. The outdoor shower is great for washing off sand.
The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need to make the perfect meal (our younger son loves to cook) plus there are plenty of personal chefs on the island. We did our shopping at Exuma Market in Georgetown which had pretty much everything we wanted.
People are super friendly and helpful. Property manager Stacy met us to check in and gave us the low down. We enjoyed meals at Cocoplum, Shirley’s, and Yvonne’s at Tinos Deck. Yvonne makes fantastic jerk in her tiny deck kitchen and Tinos makes a killer rum punch!
Be sure to bring bug repellant and cortisone cream in case it gets buggy. We were all fine until it rained, then the “no see ums” came out in force. The cottage had a few supplies but good to bring something with.
All in all, a terrific Christmas vacay!

Beautiful beach
Publié le 11 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis house is in a fabulous location on a beach that’s known for sea turtles. It’s quiet and this house has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. The best part is the location on a beautiful sandy beach. We do recommend renting a car on this island as everything is so remote. We cooked most of our meals here and they had everything you need. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing weekend or having a family vacation this place is perfect! I definitely will return.

The beach at the property was beautiful and sea turtles came right up to us! We loved the waters around Exuma and enjoyed the house for 2 couples.

Perfect beachy simplicity.

It’s beach front location was perfect and it’s central location on the island made everything we needed easily accessible. The house was well stocked with linens and towels and kitchen supplies. We used the outdoor grill almost nightly and that was perfect for us, except with the humidity it can be challenging to light the charcoal. This is a primitive island and sometimes the power goes out and that’s totally normal, we just went on down and enjoyed the beach or took a nap. The house manager was very quick to respond if I had a question, she was great. We will DEFINITELY be staying at Bikini Bottom again for future visits.
