Summer Family Trip

Perfect for our family of 5! Can’t beat the February Point location or the view! House was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Being able to keep a boat right at the dock is a must in Exuma! Enjoyed our summer getaway :)

Exuma Dream’N was the perfect location! 5 minutes from town, but nice and quiet in February Point. House was stocked with household essentials to get us started. Easy check in process, fast communication from the host. Overall great house!

Pretty Spot - A/C Issues

The home itself is lovely and well-appointed. Nice location but you will definitely want to rent a car to get to town and around the island. The A/C is controlled via NEST by the owners and set to a low of 70 degrees. It is also on a motion sensor. So during the day, while you're out, the house (especially the upper floors) are warming in to the mid-90s and the A/C struggles to get it back down to 70. Homeowners said it was to prevent damage to the unit however, the extreme variation in temps caused it to freeze up several times. If you like to eat, relax or sleep at less than 70 degrees; this is not the spot for you.

Hi Kati, I appreciate your review. I wanted to clarify your information for accuracy. The Nest is on a setting called eco to control the thermostat when no one is home. This is to relieve the unit from overworking when it is not needed and to help control the high cost of fuel on the island. The eco temp is set at a low of 70 and a high of 76. Temperatures do not reach in the 90’s. I can view the thermostat remotely and I have never seen a temperature in the 90’s. We have owned our home for 3 years and this has never been an issue. The high of 76 is to prevent the unit from freezing or breaking in the tropical climate.

A few issues

We asked for an early check-in of 1:30 pm and did not get into the property until 4:30 pm. Our second night there, we had no propane for the grill and had to wait over an hour for delivery. That night our water went out at 7pm and did not return until 10:00 am the following morning….could not wash dishes, take showers or flush toilets and were awakened at 1am as the hot water heater had a piercing noise(we flipped the breaker on it). As a VRBO owner myself, I know issues can happen, but after I communicated all our problems,she offered no comp, and was defensive. After I had to ask for comp, she finally offered a minimal amount. This property is in an absolutely world class location and has stunning views from all rooms in the condo, but the kitchen needs some help. The pots and pans were in poor condition, as the Teflon was so scratched that it is really not safe for anyone. Please acquire a knife sharpener so that guests can sharpen the knives. There are only one or two plates that do not have big chips in them and almost all the glasses are plastic. There are 6 wines glasses…..none that match! The deficiencies could be fixed very easily by the owner visiting her property or paying someone to keep everything in good condition. The on-site property folks were terrific (they had to come almost every day to reset the air-conditioner?), but they stated that they are not responsible for the condition of the contents of the property.

Hi Donna, I was surprised to receive your 3 star review. As we have explained, Exuma is a remote island and it is not realistic to have expectations of a 5 Star Resort in the United States. We ourselves live in the United States and pay and depend on February Point management and our guests to notify us when there are issues. As soon as any issues are brought to our attention, we remedy them to the best of our ability immediately. As also explained, items that need to be sent down take 2-3 weeks between US Shipping, International Shipping and Customs. We have only received 5 star reviews and have never heard that our pots and pans were in bad shape and knives were not sharp enough. We did send these items down but they were not received while you were there. While we try to accomodate early check-in's, we are at the mercy of February Point and their housekeeping. We apologized that the Villa was not ready for you as early as you were hoping to get in. We had no knowledge the propane tank was empty until you mentioned this. As soon as you did, February Point was notified. Everything in Exuma in on Bahamas time and we have no control over that. The water frequently is turned off throughout the island over night. We have no control over island wide water outages. I am sorry you had a piercing noise and there were breaker issues. Prince was attentive to the breaker issues and we ended up replacing the panel after you left. Glasses are plastic bc glass wine glasses have all broke

Beautiful property

Exuma Dreamin was Awesome! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Owners were very responsive to any requests. The air conditioner tripped the breaker a few times, maintenance was there extremely promptly to fix the issue. We would definitely stay there again! Highly recommend it.

Perfect Location!

This was our first trip to Exuma and we found February Point to be the perfect location! The villa is exactly as described in the listing and worked great for our group of 3 couples. We especially liked that each bedroom had its own private bath in addition to a half bath on the main floor. The views from everywhere in the villa were simply amazing! Having a dock right at the villa for our rental boat was very convenient. We never lost power, but lost water one day due to a community-wide issue which was resolved quickly. The February Point community is very clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this location and villa!

The home was beautiful, as advertised! The owner was very responsive to us prior to arrival and during our stay. The onsite staff was friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful week on Exuma and the owner had great recommendations for enjoying the island and the water.

Exuma Dream'n 2023

Property is fabulous! The Master Suite on the top floor has spectacular views. House is very spacious and equipped with anything you may need. Great location near Georgetown. There are a lot of steps/stairs for those that may be impaired.
