Not a good value for money
Publié le 12 août 2019 sur HotelsHotel is located in a nice old historical building - well restored. Rooms are large and generally speaking quite comfortable. However, I do not recommend this place as the service is poor : reception empty most of the time, no breakfast options, rooms are very noisy etc. As the hotel is not cheap, I would have expected much better services there. I do travel A LOT and I believe that there are better choices in Penang

It not a place to stay on weekend.
Publié le 14 oct. 2019 sur HotelsWe stayed on Saturday. It was clean and nice hotel. We really liked it until midget I heard none stop club beat sound from somewhere in midnight until 5 AM in the morning. We cannot sleep at all. I’m not sure if this happened only on weekend.

ホテル自体はおしゃれで綺麗です。こだわってリノベーションされたんだなと感じます。シャワールームとトイレが別なのも良い。
しかし、ホテル近くに明け方まで爆音で音楽を流す飲食店があり、さらにホテルの前は交通量の激しい道路。
窓や壁に防音設備が無いからか、とてもうるさくて眠れず、耳栓を買いましたがそれでも鳴り響く騒音。
どんな環境でも眠れる方のみ、おすすめします。

Torn experience with very good and very poor bits

All of the service, the actual building, and the location gave me extremely good and bad experiences.The Indian lady who came to fetch me was courteous and friendly. The first impression of the room was fantastic - high ceiling, spacious, fully equipped kitchen and tasteful, stylish decor. Location-wise it is smack in the middle of historic Georgetown with easy access to the most delicious food. Seems too good to be true... and it was. Came back after 21:00 when the front desk is unmanned and discovered all the things I didn't hope for. My key card got demagnetized and there was nobody to help. I was finally able to find this gentleman who sat outside (not in uniform). Turns out he was the security guard who managed to get me someone to get me into my room. The service attitude was good, but the scare was too much. Then, I realized the toilet was not cleaned - human excrement in toilet bowl. Wifi is at a speed that it is virtually not functional. The redeeming two points were the hot and stable shower and the very comfy beds. The air conditioner is not cold even when set to the strongest possible setting, so sleeping with the blanket is not an option. Crazily loud music with heavy bass blasts outside somewhere and even with my 3M earplugs I could not block it out. Motorcycles also zoom by very loudly throughout the night. No sleep whatsoever, despite bed being so nice. What a torn experience at such a pretty hotel!

Great location, big room.

Charming place that's conveniently located
Publié le 14 juill. 2019 sur HotelsFantastic stay at this charming old shop house that's converted into a hotel. Rooms are very spacious and there aren't too many rooms, making this a nice and cosy place. Location is central and just opposite the famous food street. The noise from the main street at night could be quite loud but is bearable. The room lock is problematic and often takes a while to get into the room. Friends in other rooms have the same issue.

Tyylikkäät tilat. Olimme alemmassa kerroksessa, lattialla kulki muurahaisia ja keittiöpisteen seinä tuoksui hieman homeelle.

便利な立地、清潔な部屋
