River Cabin
Posted Nov. 13, 2023 on HomeAwayThe river cabin was a great getaway for my wife and I. It’s a cozy cabin in a very cool remote location to truly disconnect and enjoy your stay. They were very accommodating during our stay with check in times and promptly answered all of our questions as well as provided suggestions on cool places to boat and see.
The house could have used a little more directions on a few minor things like using the stove first turn the propane on.
The one overall improvement I would recommend general up keep of the house like changing out not working light bulbs, maintaining fire pit, dock board’s repair.

Beautiful cottage on the Santee River
Posted Sep. 15, 2023 on HomeAwayWhat a beautiful property! Slightly secluded as you can only get there by boat. The cottage was perfect for me, my husband, and our pup Oreo. Private dock, perfect for fishing, swimming or just hanging out. Happened to be the weekend we lost Jimmy Buffet, so sweet place to remember him and our concerts. We played his music all weekend long. Thank you Dave for sharing your place with us. Can’t wait to come back!

River Adventure

Island surprise
Posted Mar. 10, 2023 on HomeAwayThe most remote cabin in the woods. We were not aware it was only boat accessible but the host was very accommodating. The place needs work!

As mentioned in the listing description several times, a guest must travel by boat to access the island cabin. A guest needs to decide if this is the right property for them. I've put a lot of attention into keeping up the home, both with maintenance and comfort. I would have loved to have heard what you believe needs more work since most of our reviews are five stars. I'm so happy that you enjoyed your remote stay and I hope you'll come and stay again."

great location

SUCH a special place

Dave was really warm and helpful--we did not have our own boat and so opted for him to take us to and from the island, and we had a wonderful time learning about the area from him in the process. The cabin has a very full kitchen with propane stove & oven that worked great, a water reservoir system, which Dave helped us with, and good AC. It's stunningly beautiful and we spent the whole weekend talking about how much we want to come back!!

Great adventurous getaway
Posted Mar. 20, 2022 on HomeAwayWe had a great time on this getaway. This house had much more room than we anticipated. Beautiful views , salt water fishing and fresh water fishing. This was the perfect location. Felt kinda like glamping with the water holding tank. The house had so many things already stocked If we had forgotten something I’m sure it would’ve been there. We will definitely go stay here again soon.
