My two out-of-town guests and I arrived at 11:15 pm after my family's Thanksgiving gathering. We openrd the external entrance doors, but the inner set of doors was locked. No one answered the After Hours phone though we called with it three separate times. We knocked very loudly on the inner doors and called out. It was a very cold night and we were freezing stranded in that vestibule beteen the outer and inner doors. Finally a guest using a walker appeared from an interior door and yelled and yelled until the clerk finally came out of a laundry room behind the desk and buzzed us in. When we came to the desk, he was astonishingly slow at completing whatever paperwork was necessary. He seemed confused and kept almost handing us the paperwork of other guests.
The hallways on the 2nd floor and the elevator both smelled bad!!! The room was clean but all the furnishings and such were old and worn-looking. The room was small and dingy. It was one of the cheapest hotels and I can see why. It did keep my friends warm and dry, and they had a functioning full bathroom and lights. These things are a bare minimum, and I would probably not use this hotel again.
