Check in and out was great, communication with host was fast and easygoing! Perfect for a getaway to the UP. We were about an hour from everything, Escanaba was so close!

Fun Week!

We had a pretty good week considering the weather wasn’t the best. The cabin was small but it was all we needed! It was clean, well stocked, and right on the water! The only downside was the water was a bit shallow so it wasn’t ideal for our 20 ft deep V Ranger boat to get to the dock. It was also a bit of a struggle to find a place to put the trailer once we did get the boat in. However, the neighbors are quite nice and allowed us to use their area. Other than that, we had a great time and caught a few fish! It was also nice to meet Stacey in person as we don’t usually know who we are renting from!! Thanks again Stacey!

Beautiful!!!

The place is small but cozy! The area felt safe especially for the children. Stacy was so sweet and had great communication with us! We got to kayak for the first time that was so fun and the water there and the areas just so beautiful! The moon was huge and full. It was a pleasant view while sitting next to the bonfire!!! Will definitely be back!!!

Homey cabin

We loved the cabin, how clean it was, how it had everything we needed and more (even chocolate!) and would not hesitate to book again! We were very comfortable. A good find! Thank you!

PERFECT FOR OUR NEEDS

Some friends and I were on a motorcycle ride in the UP and this place fit our needs. It is on the smaller side, so I would no more than 2 couples. The lake is right there and we were able to enjoy our nights sitting outside, watching the wildlife.

Nasty Water

While the cottage was cute and clean, the water inside was nasty and rusty smelling! Shower was too small, kept bumping arms on walls. Couldn’t fish from the docks, too shallow lots of seaweed and reeds. Overall, is was a beautiful view everyday.

This is very surprising since we did not hear from you once during your 7 day stay. We have well water with a filtration system from Norway Springs. The water system had a quarterly scheduled check during your stay. Paperwork shows no odor, no iron. Guests that are accustomed to city water may not like well water. Yes, the shower is small. Pictures on the listing show this and it may not be comfortable for larger guests. I don't understand how you couldn't fish from the docks. We have one 80 foot dock that hugs the edge of the channel and another 20 foot dock that you can fish from both sides. Guests fish from the docks all the time. (not big fish, but it is fun) There is some seaweed in a small area of the channel but there are no reeds. The channel is 8 feet deep, about 70 feet of dock is without seaweed. Maybe you were fishing on some other dock?

Perfect place for our needs

We needed a comfortable place with room for a boat close to the water. This place checked all of those boxes for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

The cabin was really nice, it had everything we needed. We were close to the water and got to fish, go kayaking and paddle-boating. We didn't want to leave, had a great time.

can't control the weather.

Wewould have liked to do more boating but instead we played tourist more than we usually do. Found some great restaurants, visited a dispensary for the first time. Checked the art scene (it's minimal) Our host Stacy was pleasant and responsive. We usually go to different places year to year but may have to re-think it.
