We chose this hotel because it was highly rated. Upon arriving at the property, it smelled so heavily of manure. Comes to find out, the hotel is right next door to the Somervell County Expo Center and there were trailers filled with horses piling in. You could not escape this smell while outside and while that would be okay once inside, it was hard being outside in the pool area. Obviously you can’t blame the hotel for this, but just note that the hotel is right next to this center and you might have bad luck as to what event is going on next door that will affect your stay. Our room itself was dated and smelled musty. The second bedroom was really nice to have but the shower floor was covered in mold. It was really gross and off putting. We did not use that shower. Even in the first bathroom, we felt like we needed to wear flip flops, like you’re in a dorm room shower. When we opened up the sofa bed, there was a mattress cover on that had old food stuck to it. It was clear that the mattress cover is never taken off to be washed. Just in general, we felt like the hotel was dirty and old and would not return. We were grateful we only stayed here for one night.

The hotel room was dirty. We opened up thr sofa bed and there was a dirty mattress cover on that had old food on it. In the second bedroom, they say the bed is a queen but it seemed like a full. The shower floor was really dirty and covered in mold. We had high expectations given that this hotel was the best rated in the area but left disappointed.

Been here before. Hotel was a bit shabbily decorated. Breakfast had more limited menu

Convenient location and easy parking. The only staff member I saw was not very competent or helpful. The elevator frames needed to be repainted. The hallways were really warm. The deadbolt on the door to our room didn’t work.

This hotel was an excellent spot for us to stay as we planned to visit several state parks and explore the area. The staff were so attentive to the care and customer positive experience. The different shifts of staff made sure to keep fresh coffee and service. I will recommend this location to family and friends.
