Quaint and very quiet cottage near beach

Great location! You can swim nearby, it’s very quiet and in the Rocky Neck art colony district.

We're so pleased you slept well We try to have beds that are very comfortable (I'm a PT and know the importance of that)! We have now provided sound machines as well, for those who like a back ground sound or in the unlikely event that someone else is up and making noise in the neighborhood before you're ready to be awake, in the AM or PM. Although yes it's usually quiet in the neighborhood.
The end of Freemont St. is one of my favorite places to go for a quick dip. Glad you had a good time and thanks for your comments!

Wknd getaway

Cute place with a great location
Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall we enjoyed our stay. The narrow stairs took a bit of getting used to, but we managed. We spent most of our time outside (beach, sight-seeing, etc.) however it would have been nice to be able to wind down watching a little TV. Very few channels came in and we had some issues with the wifi network/password. The one provided in the email from the owner wasn't visable when we scanned for it, but we were another network & password were written down in the unit. Other than that, it was a relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and had a great trip.

Glad to know you had a nice stay. I appreciate your mentioning the narrow spiral stairway, as it is something I like to emphasize so people are aware (we do mention it in our description).
We're sorry that there was some confusion about the Wi-Fi. We have been spending a lot of time and effort to make it faster and so had been trying a new Arris Modem/Router. It seemed to be slow so and yet our Comcast tech had assured me that it was fast and the TV worked, (with many channels), the very morning, before you arrived. You apparently found it wasn't (and I did as well, while staying there this weekend). We have now corrected it it with a Comcast Modem and it appears to be working fine.
We did not change the information about UN and PW in the welcome email yet, but just at the unit, as we weren't certain of the outcome. So again, we sorry that this wasn't clear for you.
So, the Wi-fi information now in the unit is again the same as in the email and can be trusted.
As far as the TV goes, we pay for numerous channels and with a new subscription, will be setting up Peacock as well, soon.
We are sorry you couldn't find what you were looking for. We will be installing a bigger, newer and smarter wall mounted TV soon, so folks will be able to also use their own subscriptions such as Netflx and Prime.

A little hideaway that seems just right for America's oldest art colony and fishing community. The little spiral stairway gives it character (though not for all) getting to the lovely bedroom.

Wonderful Location

Great Hide Away
Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayClean, cute, and quaint. Great location on Rocky Neck, easy walk to everything from eateries to small beaches. Very short drive to places off the Neck. Like being in your own private grotto. Great hosts and very responsive if needed; otherwise, we were left alone to enjoy the place as if it was all our own. We wanted for nothing except to come back again!

We have strived to make it just as you described: a special place where people can come to enjoy themselves, and feel like it’s their own private getaway spot for a few days or more!
