A beautiful stay
Posted Oct. 30, 2024 on HomeAwayMy family and I had a lovely weekend here. The check in process was easy, the house was clean, and the views were absolutely beautiful. Plenty to do around the town. We really enjoyed ourselves. Would recommend!

Our Fall getaway in Gloucester (spacious with amazing views!)
Posted Oct. 22, 2024 on HomeAwayWe stayed for 5 nights at Mary Helen's vacation rental. The views are beyond spectacular from morning until night, and the sunrises are gorgeous from the upstairs primary bedroom. We were fortunate to have some nice weather and even got out kayaking one day. We had one issue with no heat when we arrived late at night, but Mary Helen was able to resolve our issue very quickly the next morning. The weather had just changed for the season, so the heaters hadn't been tested out yet. Mary Helen is very responsive, a great hostess and we would definitely stay at her home again.

Thank you for your lovely review, Julie. We all learned a new trick about the remotes for the mini-splits! Glad the blankets were there and the hot-water baseboards got going right away, and I'm writing up detailed instructions so those remotes won't get the better of anyone again - that glitch will be resolved for good now. I love that you got to enjoy our kayaks this late in the season in the gorgeous weather, and we're delighted you had such a wonderful stay! You were great guests and we would love to host you again anytime you're back on Cape Ann.

Great Birthday Getaway
Posted Oct. 22, 2024 on HomeAwayCame with family and friends for my 40th birthday to spend some time Salem for the festivities. The house was perfect, far enough away from everything but close enough that we were able to Uber delicious food and site seeing, and a quick train ride to other nearby cities. Perfect.

Better than advertised
Posted Sep. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayIt's tucked away in a gorgeous inlet and anyone interested in that quintessential Massachusetts costal view will not be disappointed. My husband and I brought our friends and their spouses together for the first time on a weekend away. It was the perfect setup for a quiet retreat from our hectic lives. The beds and pillows were far and away the most comfortable of any vacation spot we've ever stayed at. Can't recommend this enough if you are coming from outside the States and want a feel for what it can be like here in New England/North Eastern Coast.

Beautiful view of West Gloucester
Posted Aug. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayIt rained the first three days so we relaxed and enjoyed the comfortable beds and couches. We also watched the democratic convention on the tv over the fireplace. When the sun shined we took out the kayaks at high tide and explored the area. We also enjoyed the local restaurants and Good Harbor beach after 4 pm. Great relaxing vacation!

Wonderful Stay

Family wedding and reunion
Posted Aug. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a great relaxing week at MaryHelen’s house in Gloucester. The location was perfect and the view of the marsh and river from the porch was lovely to enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails!
Everything was as shown on the listing.
Communication was exceptional. We were short bath towels when we arrived and on Sunday a bag of clean linens were delivered and were told to use what we needed.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting family.

Great Property -Exceptional View
