Jerry & JoAnn invite you to open the private gate to Riverwood's park-like setting and begin your stay on the 5 acre Rouge river front property with its second floor guest suite. Plenty of parking.
Enjoy the second floor deck with its expansive views of the river and property. Watch the local wildlife including deer, geese, egrets, many types of ducks, eagle and osprey. The osprey nest is just a short distance away. The property is alive with large pine trees, majestic oaks, dogwood and acres of grassy areas. The river is abundant with native trout, steelhead and salmon. How about a trout breakfast. Sit in an Adirondack chair and enjoy the floating dock, or just sit on the private beach. Wood is available for a beach fire . Take a dip or simply lounge around the pool. Have your morning coffee / tea on the deck or BBQ your evening meal. The 750 square feet suite features a bedroom with a 4 corner poster bed, living room with kitchenette, microwave, large screen TV, listen to music or ask questions on Amazon Echo, internet access, antique roll top desk, premium sofa bed, dining area, and bathroom with shower and bathtub. The large grassy area that borders the river is great for picnics, throwing a football and other activities of your choice.
The property is rural in the Rouge Valley between Ashland and Grants Pass, but only a little over a mile from Highway 5. Ashland and its renowned theater is about 30 minutes away.
Enjoy wine tasting at the many wineries, many have live music, shopping in the historic town of Jacksonville, rafting the Rouge River, a hike up Table Rock, dining at excellent restaurants, the adventurous Hellgate excursions, or biking the trail from Gold Hill to Ashland, There are some pretty nice golf courses available.

JoAnn’s art studio and Ewoodart are both on the property and sometimes available for tours
Sway in the three person bench swing located between to large pine trees with a wonderful view of the grassy area and the river.
Some people never go outside the grounds and spend their time reading, enjoying the quiet, relaxing by the pool or the river or maybe a picnic by the river. It is there for you to enjoy the paradise of Riverwood.

We’ve returned back to this incredible property in Gold Hill. The 5 acre property is breathtaking. Beautiful pool and view of the Rougue River. The apartment was so comfortable and well stocked. Amazing slice of Rogue River Paradise!
My brother in law and his family live in Rogue River. Normally, we stay with them, but it was my nephews graduation and there was a lot of family coming. So we decided to stay elsewhere. I’m so grateful we did! This place is beautiful! I was literally awe-struck! We didn’t get to enjoy going into the pool because it was still so cold, but we took advantage of the view from the deck, the chairs out riverside, and the abundant windows. The trees in the driveway are in bloom right now and even they were exquisite! Jerry greeted us on our first entry and he was very kind. Jerry, we very much appreciate you letting us use your lovely space. We are already looking forward to next year when my niece graduates!

Gold Hill Stay
The property was in a nice location. The owner allowed a few family members to come and visit with us, for a few hours one of the days, which was kind of him. The living room furnishing were a little worn looking, but clean, we also could of used a little more light in the living room though. The carpeting, could of used a refresh cleaning, I realized later they allow dogs. there. Overall we had a good time there and my family really enjoyed their visit there with us.

This is a beautiful property with good people. Your family will feel safe and comfortable here. The bed was so comfortable- clean linens and plenty of extra bedding. We had full run of the property and enjoyed it fully.

A beautiful southern oregon Gem 💎
Our stay was amazing! We felt like we had the property to ourselves. It was the best of both worlds to have the large pool and huge riverfront paradise. It was fun to see the rafters float by and the deer. We enjoyed a fire by the river during the evening. The bed was very comfortable and our son says his sleeping area was good. The deck was so relaxing over the pool area. The kitchenette area was fine as I brought prepared meals. The pool has plenty of comfy chairs as well. Our stay was just wonderful and I definitely hope to be back next year. Jerry was really nice as well and so excited to have him share his piece of paradise with us.

Beautiful surroundings, relaxing atmosphere!
Our annual Sister's Weekend found the perfect spot this year. The pool was peaceful and relaxing. The river was spectacular, watched fish jump and a bald eagle fly by. Jerry was a great host, let us know he was around if we needed anything, but we definitely felt like we had so much privacy. We felt this property really raised the bar, and we definitely will be back next year!

Freedom to roam.
We took our two dogs and spent a week in an upstairs apt in Gold Hill, Oregon. The property was right on the Rogue River with two large area for us to sit and watch the river, play with the dogs or just enjoy the peace and quiet. Other than right along the river, the entire, large, property was fenced and the dogs were welcome to roam free. Jerry, the host was awesome and gave us total privacy. We will go back.
