Great location and spacious home
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayNice home and great location. Only problem was the outside trash cans were left full of garbage and full of water and smelled terrible. We were not able to use the grill because of the smell. We took it upon ourselves to dump the water and trash out. There was also no toilet paper and kitchen trash from last visitors was not thrown out. Wasn’t as clean as we expected, but other than that we had a great time. Thank you!

Outside property needs some maintenance, several lights out, dock lights don’t work at all and chairs are all broken. Stairs on one side of the porch are breaking away from the porch. Downstairs shower has a crack in the floor pan that will pinch your foot. Very rocky and uneven walkways. Would not recommend for elderly visitors or those who have balance issues.

NIGHTMARE!

What was supposed to be a wonderful birthday weekend getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday and our sweet 8 month old grandbaby's first mini-vacay with the family, turned to a complete horror show! First of all, the drive to get to the place was horrendous and scary to say the least. The property os not marked well on GPS so it took us to the wrong address. The road to ge their is beat up and it feels like your driving into a deserted desert. It was dangerous due to the many pot holes, very narrow turns, loose gravel and unstable. inclines. We took our boat with us and we almost got stuck several times. It is not suitable for boats and trailers. Even though I repeatedly asked the hos SEVERAL times if it was okay for me to bring our boat and if there was easy access for it on the property. She said SEVERAL times, yes, that it absolutely was. That was a LIE! Once we found the place. Oh, my GOSH...they state their is a steep drivway, but not one thats narrow, dangerously steep and not safe for a boat or any car to drive down fir that matter. We could not get our truck, trailer nor boat down there safeky. My daughters drove our suv down and were sliding diwn due to the loose gravel. It was so scary! Once we, all got down to the property, some of us had to walk down the steep incline, and finally get to see the house. Hoping that from all this mess weve experienced, the house will help us make make the best of it. WRONG. The house was DIRTY.

Hi Stepfanie, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- We made every effort to accommodate your needs and discussed your concerns and expectations before your check-in. However, it seems that we may not have completely aligned our expectations. Additionally, arriving at night might have added to the challenge of finding the property.
- When we communicated before check-in, we explicitly mentioned that, due to low water levels, we did not recommend bringing your boat, as the boat ramps were closed.
- Our listing states that the property requires stairs and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Additionally, the pre-stay information states that the driveway is steep. We're considering adding this to our listing so that guests are aware prior to booking.
- We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. After investigating your comment, we can confirm that the property was cleaned to our standards prior to your check-in.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Perfect fishing weekend!
Publié le 6 août 2023 sur HomeAwayMy family had a great time at the cabin! It was large and clean, with tons of beds, comfy recliners, and cold AC (a must for Texas adventures)! The dock was our favorite part. No matter the time of day, we were under shade. Everyone caught a bass!! Make sure you go out for night fishing, youre almost guarenteed to catch something! Thank you for a fun weekend adventure!

Father's Day Celebration
Publié le 19 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe spent Father's Day weekend there. Check-in was a breeze. Our grandchildren loved the lake. The house was great. No problems. The driveway was steep, but none of us left the property the whole weekend until it was time to go home. I would bring lifejackets or something to float on. Lots of fish...bring your poles. Great experience. We plan to come back. It is a short drive from DFW and very affordable compared to PK.

Perfect VRBO

Everything was perfect and we want to come back next time just for the lake experience. Two families can easily stay with plenty of room. We should have had a third!
