Posted Jun. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayHighly recommend this lovely home! It was spotless, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent communication from the rental staff - very clear and easy check in and check out information. We were on an 8 day vacation, staying in a new place every night and this was hands down the entire group’s favorite!

College Roommates
Posted Jun. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayMyself and 2 of my college roommates got together after 10 years and had an enjoyable girls night. The house was the perfect place for a little getaway! Super clean and the host was very friendly! Definitely would go back!

Wonderful time

Family time
Posted Jun. 2, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was definitely the best deal for our family stay consisting of grandparents from California, parents and 2 young children, 4 & 7, from Long Island. So happy you were available on a last minute road trip decision. Spent 2 days at Herseypark and the last day learning about the Amish culture including a smorgasbord dinner at Shady Maple. We had a fabulous time enjoying the fire pit, hot tub and relaxing beautiful environment. You're a hard-working, simple, humble, entrepreneural community that the younger generation needs to learn from. Thanks again and will think of your place should we come out this way again.

Cute house in the middle of Amish country
Posted May 1, 2024 on HomeAwayOur family had a great (but all too brief) stay at the Amish Guest House.
The location is great, right in the heart of Amish country: most of the shops, restaurants, and attractions you might want to visit are within a short drive, and right nearby are great spots like Immergut Pretzels for a great snack, Stolzfus Meats for stuff to cook yourself or bring home, and lots of shops.
The house itself is a cute property that's been nicely updated and is perfect for a small family or 1-2 couples. The availability of a NEMA 14-50 (50A) outlet for charging EVs was a huge bonus, alleviating the need to find places to charge; just make sure to remember to bring your own charger to plug into the outlet. There's a great fire pit for spending evenings outside, or a huge TV if you want to spend them inside. The house is on a fairly busy road, so you will hear road noise inside the house; however, it does quiet down at night, and we never found it to be an issue during our stay (we slept just fine).
Daniel and Catherine were very responsive and easy to work with. We'd definitely enjoy staying again in the future.

Great House, Great Location
Posted Apr. 25, 2024 on HomeAwayEverything about this rental was easy and comfortable. The location is perfect for all the area attractions, near food, shopping, and Amish activities. The hot tub was a really nice bonus, the house had everything we needed and was super comfortable. I would highly recommend this spot and stay here again anytime we visit the Lancaster area.

Cozy stay in Intercourse, Pa.
Posted Jan. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayOverall, the house was very clean and comfortable. The large TV in the living room was a very nice feature. Hot tub was very clean and easy to access. We did notice a slight musty smell when entering, there was no grill brush, and grill had discarded cigarette butts from last occupant.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review James. I am so sorry for the minor issues you had. We had just gotten a few inches of rain so there was little water in the basement which made the musty smell. We have upgraded dehumidifiers and added a grill brush. These issues are gone. See you next time :)

Great stay and amenities
Posted Oct. 28, 2023 on HomeAwayStayed at daniels house for a long weekend with my husband, 2 year old as well as our friends and their 11/2 year old. House had everything you would need. Very child friendly, clean and updated and fire pit was an added bonus to hangout at when the kids fell asleep. Walking distance to restaurants and shops but put into consideration most are closed on Sundays. Staying here allowed us to enjoy a weekend away without feeling out of budget. Would definitely look to stay again when I return to the area.
