Cabin Getaway

That said, the cabin served as a wonderful launching point for our adventures and the property checked every box we could have asked for. Whether it was s'mores at sunset or watching the sunrise over the lake, the cabin helped make amazing memories for the kids and grown ups alike!

Winter get-away!
Publié le 31 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved this winter get-away; off-season is a great time to explore and hike. We also kayaked and did a polar plunge off the boat dock! (They have a ladder, which helps for chilled adventurers).
The kitchen is well equipped, and we baked & cooked extensively. Huge fridge/freezer, so you can pack in all your meals (eat at Walt’s Pizza in Marion. Superb).
Hosts we responsive, brought over firewood upon request; they have skewers, so bring hot dogs & S’Mores.
We will return again!

Family fun for Thanksgiving
Publié le 2 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay and the place was clean and cozy. There are a lot of stair and not a lot to do in the fall and winter. I'd love to come back in the spring and summer months. Thanks for having us!

Clean and cozy are great fall and winter qualities for sure! The fall and winter weather varies so much. Depending on abilities and weather, there is hiking year round as well as wineries, shopping, dining, a scenic drive or hike at Garden of the Gods. Definitely come back in summer for a totally different experience!

Couples Getaway
Publié le 19 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was the 2nd time we stayed at a property owned by Heather and Jeff. 1st time was at Eagles Nest, and while names were familiar it was the business card that confirmed this. (I've now saved their 3rd property to my wish list.)
Place was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable. No problem with anything. Loved the light switch labels. Beds were very comfortable. Even enjoyed some time outside on the cool November weekend.
