Great trip to Maine
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our first trip up to Maine and this place was perfect for our family of 5. It’s close to the mainland section of Acadia and about 50 minutes from Bar Harbor/main section of Acadia. This place has its own private driveway and location which was nice. It’s very easy to drive past the driveway, but look for the red barn doors on the house directly across from the driveway. GPS, for us at least, didn’t get us to the exact location. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for letting us use the house.

Quiet and very nice

Nice backyard porch with forest views
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayFeels big and uncluttered, nice downstairs and rural setting. Easy access to acadia national park with a drive. Plenty of linens and towels. Only one shower for six people, but it was ok. Enough blankets and air conditioning to be comfortable and plenty of materials for cooking. Only thing I would change is to put in blackout curtains especially in the upstairs bedroom, it could have strong tension rods to fit the windows so no need to wake at dawn. Other than that it was great.

Overall positive experience - Quiet, private, clean, had all amenities that we needed, nice views from the inside, nice deck. Also, on Rt 1 and within an hour drive to key tourist activies in the area. Good value for the money.

Beautiful home!

The property is closer to Schoodic Peninsula than the main area of Acadia but the Peninsula was beautiful and peaceful!
The house was clean, organized and matched the description!

Great deck for star watching. Very clean and spacious for our family. About a 50 min drive to Acadia.
