A very irritated hotel guest!!

When I got to the Select INN on Wednesday October 30th the front desk person was surprised that I had a reservation with them! She could not find any record of my reservation even though I had paid for it in full on October 9th and I had a print out of my reservation! She said she would try to find me another Hotel which would have cost me more money that I did not have since I am on a limited income and I already paid for that room in advance! She had to take away a room from another guest for that night and gave me that room!!

The hotel is a place to sleep. Very dated and somewhat dirty. Looks like there are people living in other rooms fulltime. It worked for what it was needed for..

They had no one on duty; had to wait for clerk to return from store to check in. Then no record of reservation and no vacancy. Forced to drive 150 miles to our home instead! Complete failure! Have heard horror stories about the facility.

They cancelled our rooms but were able to get us one instead of 2 that i had booked.

No one at front desk any time unless you call them. When we arrived ready to check in the person who does that was on the road to Grand Forks, according to husband of said person. Lobby smell bad and interior halls. I asked to see the room before staying there. Room was clean. At this point I was not going to stay and willing to absorb the loss. Exterior of grounds and building is littered with bikes, grills. At least two homeless groups are living there. Strong possibility somehow related to manager. An improvement would be to tear the building down. Building needs new windows and much outside work.
